Borg's board will work, just it's designed for SLI therefore you can't use two ATI cards. Why anybody would want to use SLI, I don't know.

blib, thanks for the repy and taking the time to research those things. That card looks good but it says the rebate that brings it down to $277 expires at the end of this month. I wont be ordering it until next month probably.

From how prices have been going recently, I'm guessing that there'll be a net increase in price over the next month. The Core 2 Duo processors are finally in stock everywhere, however now that they are prices have dropped and I think there will be an even greater surge of purchasing driving prices up as I doubt Intel will be capable of keeping up. Video card prices probably wont drop again until Vista and the DX10 cards come out. Motherboard prices probably wont drop until something big happens, like quad SLI becoming more widespread. The rebates at MSI have happened twice in a row, me getting dicked out as I bought a X1900XT at a $100 rebate, now the XTX at a $150 rebate. I may be wrong, but I really don't think that increasing trend will continue. This month certainly seems like the best time to at least buy the video card. The XTX is still the best on the market when comparing price and performance.

Open box are returned items, just as if you bought an open box item at Best Buy. Supposidly they weren't returned because they didn't work, just that the person didn't want them. You still aren't going to get a newegg warranty, but the manufacturer's still might apply.
