I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little it about myself. I live in NC. My daughter who was a special needs child passed away at age 4 this past February. She taught me so much about the world of special needs children. She was able to teach, and touch so many people’s lives with her beautiful smile, and angelic presence. As you can imagine it has been very difficult for me. I have good days, and bad days. However as I have sat back I thought what do I want to do with my life now. I realized I wanted to publish a book, and be able to be free to help the other families with special needs children. I have been divorced for about three years, so you can imagine what it was like being a single mom with a special needs child. Anyways I do feel God puts people in our lives for reasons. My boss has always been awesome. She would even get on me during times when my daughter was in the hospital about why was I at work. That may not sound right, but my daughter was in and out of the hospital a lot. So at night I would stay there, and during the day my Mom would be there. I had to work to keep a roof over our head. I was denied benefits for her because I worked. Which is another story in itself. Well during the last month and a half of my daughter’s life I had her at home, and took FMLA. In my state you do not get paid with FMLA. So my boss did her best to help me by letting me work from home some, and visiting etc. It was the best gift anyone could have given me by making it feasible for me to be with my daughter during her last days.
Well my boss sells Mary Kay. I prayed for a way to earn extra money to help the school my daughter went to for special needs children. A few days later my boss brought me my order of moisturizer, and it dawned on me. Hey, you can do this. I thought to myself you like the products, and my boss has always been a blessing to me. So now I am selling Mary Kay. Little did I know that Mary Kay is more than just selling cosmetics. I have found a wonderful group of women who support each other, and a company that truly is credible. I was impressed when I found out on the stock exchange that they have the most women Millionaire’s out of any company. They are also big on putting your family first. Which is obviously been very important to me.
I donate 10% of all sales to my customer’s charity of choice. When an order is placed I tell my customer’s to let me know if they have a special charity such as breast cancer, hospice, etc…
