I go for Episode IV!
Although Episode V is a close second.
And my bet is that Episode V will win...but I might be wrong.

While I acknowledge Empire is a better movie, ANH is my personal favorite. I'm with you OD.

I have seen them all hundreds of times, and while I know it is not popular amon Star Wars enthusiasts (such as myself) to acknowledge anything good about the new ones over the old one, I picked episode 3 because it is the best one of them all.

I love them all, but I'm not blind in my fandom so much that I'd declare the prequels superior, although Revenge had it's qualities.

For me it has to be Revenge of the Sith. The entire saga hinges on it. I am younger and while I admit that the original trilogy movies were better made I personally enjoy the prequels more. I just like that time period in the Star Wars universe more.
Besides, Episode 3 has The Duel, the greatest fight scene in movie history.

A New Hope has always been my favorite, I've probably watched the Special Edition at least 30 times.

Episode one was the best. It was all down hill from there. The later movies relied more on special effects and less on good story telling.

Sneaks in....checks out the thread...ponders on truth telling, ...
Decides not to mention that I never made it through a single one...
and tiptoes back out... :D

Episode 1 was made in 1999, and is generally accepted as the worst of the six.
Also, none of the movies rely on good story telling.

I still think it was the best of a poor lot.

I voted episode six.. the finale, the conclusion.. the best fighting scene of all star wars movies:. the 3 part end battle
1. Battle of Endor
2. Space Battle into the death star
3. Luke vs. Vader ll
Thats as good as it gets... for me anyways...
