Can Israel Firing Missiles "rockets" At Lebanon Cause A War? Is there even a 1% chance that Israel firing rockets at Lebanon could cause a war?

Seems the Isrealis' want to negotiate with Lebanon about a Peace Treaty between Israel and Lebanon, without Syria.
It is my hope that the Israelis', The U.N., and all peace loving nations will insure that Syria does not disrupt or force any Syrian issues into any Peace Treaty between Isreal and Lebanon.
Lebanon could be a great ally in the 'War on Terror". I am sure that the True Lebanese want Peace. Seems that the Warring Islamic Radicals are using Lebanon as their Battleground to wage a war on Isreal. This must stop immediately if there is to ever be any real PEACE in the Middle-East.

Nah.
It shouldn't.
The Lebanese need to just lie down and accept being shelled out of existence.
The Lebanese COULD just abandon Lebanon and let Israel take it, as they seem to be aiming at.....but it's hard to make yourself run when you know you'll be shot in the back.

Seems this peace offer is a smokescreen,ya got an Israeli Prime Minister under investigation for corruption and an Israeli President who cant keep it in his pants.
Its a pity Israel didnt make this offer months ago, maybe a thousand Lebanese would still be alive, and they would have a country, instead of a pile of rubble to call home.

I agree.
The Lebanese should see the bullet coming. At a bare minimum, it’s the least the Israelis could do in retaliation for them attacking FIRST.

Firstly, Oldtimer was correct when he said that the establishment of Israel did not change the Lebanese borders. Secondly, if the Lebanese people had an issue, then it was with Britain, not Israel. They (along with several other Arab nations) picked the fight - now they'll be forced to stand by their convictions.

I was not only unaware that --in the current conflict-- Lebanon had "attacked first", I was not aware that Lebanon had attacked Israel at all.
I'd like to see your evidence of that.
The first hostile act I am aware of happening leading up to the conflict was when the IDF kidnapped two civilians, one of them a doctor.

Peretz: French UNIFIL commanders say will shoot at IAF overflights
By Gideon Alon, Haaretz Correspondent and Haaretz Service
Commanders of the French contingent of the United Nations force in Lebanon have warned that they might have to open fire if Israel Air Force warplanes continue their overflights in Lebanon, Defense Minister Amir Peretz told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Monday.

Who picked the fight? The Jews invaded and created a state where none existed before! As the invader they should be, and would in any other circumstance, repulsed by the Arabs in the region. If we apply the same logic to Iraq(Saddam) as to Israel, then we should have welcomed the invasion of Kuwat and helped Saddam.
It is clear that Israel and the jews are the agressors in the region, a simple look tells us that Isael did not exist before 1947 and was created in sympathy for the holocaust and with the hopes the arabs would go along with it.

Israel Kidnaps Two Brothers-- Monday June 26, 2006
In an overnight raid into the Gaza Strip the IDF have abducted two brothers. The Israelis claim that the brothers are members of Hamas. Hamas denies this and states that the two brithers are merely the sons of a Hamas member.
The two captured men were brothers Osama and Mustafa Abu Muamar, sons of Hamas activist Ali Muamar.
The raid started at 0330 in the village of Umm al-Nasser, near the Rafah refugee camp and only one kilometre from the Israeli border, Palestinian sources say. An eyewitness, Ali Muamar told Reuters news agency he awoke to see Israeli troops scaling down his wall.
"They blindfolded and handcuffed me and started beating me up with the butts of their rifles and kicking me," said Mr Muamar, who was treated in hospital for wounds.
Mr Muamar said the soldiers seized his computer and left after about an hour.
Palestinian Commandos in a daring raid on Israelis positions on Sunday, killed two Israeli soldiers and wounded five others. They also captured an Israeli soldier, Cpl Gilad Shalit. Shalit is now being held as a POW.
<snip>
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has threatened to murder the Palestinian President, Prime minister and the PA Cabinet unless Shalit is released.
I wonder if there will be any sanctions against Olmert foor these remarks and threats? Dont hold your breath.
The hypocrisy of the Israelis is breath-taking. They kidnap two non-combatants, they hold thousands of Palestinian Soldiers in prisons, yet when one of their soldiers is captured, they threaten mass murder. _________http://www.indymedia.ie/article/76854

Apart from the Los Angeles Times, there were only a few marginal words in the Baltimore Sun (June 25) and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (June 25).
Moreover, no mainstream media source chose to refer to this event when discussing Shalit’s capture. The only serious coverage in the English-language press appeared in the Turkish Daily News (June 25).
The obvious point is that the kidnapping of the two Gaza civilians was well-known, but scarcely and dismissively reported, apart from the Turkish press, which had the one serious news report (June 25).
In the US media there was no comment nor follow-up, in sharp contrast to the capture of Cpl. Gilad Shalit the following day. While Shalit’s name is known to any newspaper reader, the Muamar brothers are unknown – though their names can be discovered by those who undertake research projects (or read the dissident media). A Google search for “Shalit” and “Muamar” will quickly make brilliantly clear the difference in reaction to the events of June 24 and June 25.

Speaking of *fools* i have just about had it with your damned facetiousness and your refusals --even when it is being shoved down your synaptic cortex-- to recognize the facts whenever what you ask for is delivered to you.
You ask for a story, I go the trouble of looking up the story, I giveyou the story and the link, and THEN all you have to come back with is some silly obfuscation about Gaza not being in Lebanon.......it's fucking pointless trying to talk with you.

Trying to claim that what happens in Gaza justifies what happens in lebanon is about as disconnected as you can get. Does that mean because a canadian soldier gets killed by a muslim in afghanistan i can go shoot a muslim here? of course not. And i should be rightly prosecuted for such stupidity.
Your attempt to claim that israel dealing with hamas entitles hezbollah to cross borders, kidnap and kill israelis is justified is so far from any kind of rational thought or discourse it needs to be pointed out and mocked for the idiocy it is.

That analogy is not applicable at all....it grossly ignores nearly every aspect of the situation with Hezbollah versus their tormentors, the Israelis.

I have never even mentioned **Israel dealing with Hamas**, not even in passing.
I have never made the slightest reference to ""Hezbollah being entitled"" to cross ANYTHING.
I have never forwarded any argument concerning ""Hezbollah being "justified" in kidnapping and killing Israelis"".

What exactly is the point of this reference if not to suggest that there is a causal linkage between events in gaza and events in lebanon?
Is it your position that if hezbollah want to show solidarity with hamas they, cannot complain when israel responds tothem.
That analogy is not applicable at all....it grossly ignores nearly every aspect of the situation with Hezbollah versus their tormentors, the Israelis.
Israel is tormenting hezbollah? that's a laugh. Exactly how are they tormenting hezbollah given they've been out of lebanon for @ 6 years now?
Hezbollah has no bearing or say on events in gaza, its not their country is it. If hezbollah wish to inject themselves in the israeli/hamas conflict then they must be prepared to pay the price. Correct?

Exactly what is your point in attempting to link events in gaza to events in lebanon if not to establish a justification for hezbollah's actions?
Given that you've never condemned hezbollah for its actions and your well-known anti-israeli views your posting the article and attempting to link events is that of an apologist for hezbollah's actions.
