I heard those ads a few weeks ago - my wife had heard about then on the TV & showed me them.

They are very clever ads & funny as hell. The guy is black so he can get away with ads like that, but there is a lot of truth in his ads & I think it will connect with a lot of people.

It's unfortunate that simple TV ads like that can sway so many voters.

They are simple, and overlook a lot of realities, but lets face it unless the message is simple in the US nobody understands it. The fact that issues are often complex doesn't mean that its not valid to make issues simple so some actual progress can be made.

The issues that guy outlines in his twightzone ads are pretty much true.

Do you mean to say that his position on the issues is pretty much true? If so, I have to disagree wholeheartedly.

He begins with a simple message of fear... "Americans are under attack by muslim terrorists in every corner of the globe"...a bit overstated perhaps.

He then says gays are "mocking marriage" and "attacking everything sacred"

Next he claims "liberal judges" are "rewriting the Constitution".

Followed by, "you can't say God in public".

Then a brief bit where he says too many black kids are born out of wedlock. Ok.

Finally he makes an allusion to illegal immigration.

Even if I give you the last two, I don't think that qualifies as "pretty much" true.

I think the simplilcity is refreshing.
A 30 second commercial isn't meant to deeply explain issues. A responsible voter should already be aware of them. He is stating, very directly, how he feels about these topics. That's the part that should be simple.

It seems a lot of the really conservative republican ads tend to carry that same message - everything you know and love is under attack. It's a bit of an overstatement, I think.

True, but the other side relies on "the end is near" also.

I liked the commercial. I thought it used sound bites to get a valid message across. Our way of life is changing and not for the better, at least in my opinion.

I was going on all his ads. I agree with you on the points you say are wrong, in the TV ad I agree with the 7 out 10 blacks & the stuff about illegal immigation.

On the 2 other ads - Billy Cosby / The aliens are here - I agree with those ads 100%

Even if you don't agree with the ads - you have to like how they were made - they are pure genius.
