It would seem that the Bush White House isn't briefing Congress on everything it should.

I wonder what it will take to convince Bush he needs to be more forthright with Congress.

Congress has the means to enforce those laws. Chairman Hoekstra could refer the matter to the House Judiciary Comittee for hearings and a vote on whether high crimes or misdemeanors have occurred. If they have, an motion of impeachment can be introduced to the House of Representatives. I am under no illusions about the fate of such a resolution at this point, it would fail. It is the only remedy short of a revolution by the people. That revolution could be forthcoming in the elections this fall. It will be interesting to see the make-up of the House next year. If the Democrats win control, you can look forward to two years of investigations. If some of the allegations are shown to be true, there may even be an impeachment trial in the Senate.
