How many of you out there think that the music industry is actually losing as much money as they say when talking of p2p file sharing programs? i.e napster, kazaa, kazaa lite....... Its universally known that a single music cd costs the manufacturer literally pennies to make. And to be honest with you......i would not have most of my music if it were not for free. Im not gonna pay 13 bucks for a cd that i only enjoy 1 or 2 songs from. Well Steve Jobs thinks he has found the answer. What do you guys and gals think of this idea? http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/05/11/apple.online.music.ap/index.html

Uh, to get an entire CD, add up 15 songs for a dollar each.., Thats about the price of a CD. And, that has been going around for a while. The dollar per song bit, forget which company though.
But, where exactly does the money go? A lot will still go to the recording companies, and never see those who created it.

Dunno where the money goes. Im against it entirely. I think that p2p file sharing should remain legal. As I said in my earlier post. I wouldnt have hardly any of the music i do have if it were not for free. I feel the cd's are overpriced. So what makes them think that we would pay for a service like this? I know i wont.

Ok. I'll pay for most concerts, but the rest, why? I don't think music is one to be copyrighted.

Yeah, i love to go to concerts and i will still pay to go. (although i feel they are starting to get a little extreme with ticket prices) To me, its all about valule. And i think the rates they charge for cd's are outrageous. If they were to come down to 5-7 bucks i would have no problems paying for it. But that day may never come.
