Last night when I tried to access Allforums I received a message that said SERVICE UNAVAILABLE.

There was no way to access Allforums.

Needless to say, I panicked. No Allforums. What a horrid thought. I figured I would email Drew or one of the administrators and find out what was wrong. The ony problem is that without access to Allforums I couldn't do that.

That set me to thinking. What if something happened to Allforums. The people who post here would be lost forever.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to have a listing of emails so that we can insure against this happening in the future. We could either list an email we rarely use of give our email addresses to the administrators so that in the event of a meltdown of Allforums they could contact people and we could reconstitute Allforums or a similar site someplace else.

Then one of you better stay up all night monitoring the site so tou can e-mail me immediately if the site goes off line again.

Stop being so lazy. You administrators don't need sleep.

Mwahahahahahahaha!

I lose access to your email address if the site goes offline, but Drew can still retrieve it from the database, unless said DB happens to spontaneously delete itself, which is not a likely occurrence.

Since there are only 3,724 members of which only 524 are considered active why don't you copy down all our email addresses by hand and notify us all if the site goes down again.

Damn, are you lazy.

Those pictures are fake too, Frogger.
To see my REAL pic, ya have to go to yr nearest post office and check the "Most Wanted" posters.

I look pretty good in 'em if I do say so myself.

Good morning! Same thing happened to us 'old timers' over on the Yahoo message boards. In fact, they totally redesigned the boards on the weekend of my birthday and I came in Monday to find life, as we knew it, had changed forever! Ergo... here we are!

"We" is a friendly group of people who've been posting on Yahoo MBs since 1999. I've been scooting around here, checking out some posts and while it looks a little different than what we're used to... hope we've found a new place to call home.

Drop by and see us sometime!

Hey Rendova, if the FBI wanted those people down at the post office so bad, why didn't they just keep them when they were taking their picture?

LOL, I've often wondered that myself, Dan.

That's good to know.
What if the DB is the only proof of our existence? If it deletes itself, are we also deleted?
