It happens to be tomorrow. What did you get you mom? I got her an espresso/cappuccino maker, since she loves a certain kind of cappuccino. It was $30, a bit above what I usually spend. The funny thing is, this type of gift is typical of me. I am a very practical person, especially when I'm buying gifts.

Yall take care of your Mothers as much as humanly possible. No gift is to practical, or to lavish. Let her know you are there.


This is the first Mother's Day in a half century that I've been without mine. She passed Christmas Eve, 2002.

The problem with my mother and my mother-in-law is that they both have everything! My mom actually asked for flowers so we bought her a mini rose bush type thing. My mother-in-law received a book and some slippers that you can microwave to make 'em toasty.

Mmm...microwavable sneakers. Next up: microwavable toilet seats, and microwavable underpants. Though...that does sound comfortable...
