So I ... er... "got" a CD online and I can't seperate the tracks with Alba Extractor because the maker just made it one HUGE MP3 file. So, does anyone know how to seperate the tracks? My friend said it was gonna be hard and I might as well just buy the thing.

Me...buy...yeah right :). lol jk

Download Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) and use it to split apart the MP3 file. Requires a bit of work on your part, but it's the only way I can think of.

Set it to stop recording of each file when there is X amount of silence. Be sure to set the number of files to the number of tracks that're supposed to be on the CD. Finally, have the track playing while recording the auxilary input from your soundcard. In other words it's recording everything that is going out of your speakers so be sure to make sure nothing else will make a noise. Easy if it's a standard CD, bad if it's a complex one such as if you're trying to rip the individual songs out of Dark Side of the Moon, where even in listening to it you can't tell when one starts and one ends.
