View Full Version : Dual Citizenship

President Bush is trying when it comes to immigration.
He just appeared in Omaha, Nebraska in front of an invited audience of 400 people to hear him talk about immigration reform.
He is trying but I don’t think he has the right ideas to solve the ‘problem’.
First of all, I am surprised he found 400 Americans in Nebraska to show up as an audience. Nebraska is one state whose economy that without immigration – illegal or otherwise – would collapse overnight.
I used to be in favor of closing the border but I am not anymore. There is plenty of room in this nation as anyone can tell you.
Mexico and the United States are close. The border is imaginary. Our populations have met in the middle of the continent and we are mixing now. The reality is that rather than a system to integrate these folks it should be admitted they are integrated. Mexico is part of the United States just as the United States is a part of Mexico.
I believe that dual citizenship is the realistic solution to this manufactured problem.
Presidente Fox calling Mexicans that leave Mexico for the U.S. patriots is just as absurd as President Bush calling for immigration reform even though during the time Bush was governor of Texas over 5 million illegal aliens entered Texas.
Anyone in North or South America is an American already. We are living our lives that way and it is about time our governments catch up to reality.

Dual citizenship is a good idea, and eventually/hopefully the whole America/América to become one big nation:drinktoth , before China/India take over the World .........
Yeah, that's just what North America needs to help protect itself: aid from countries like Bolivia and Argentina......
Surely you jest.
What could South America do to fend off the Chinese: throw chimichangas at them??? Maybe some cocaine? No, I say the best way to fight China with the help of South and Central America is to let them wholesale invade Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong in search of jobs.

Chimichangas are an American food invention, most people as close as Mexico may not know what it is.
Why do you guys always think of wars with bombs and killing people That's what a war is, if you are talking about an "economic" or other sort of "battle", you'd specify. Why would you think that people are going to not assume an armed conflict when you say "War!"?

Not in Indiana, there's not, and when you say something like that IN AMERICA, you run the risk of some Hoosier stomping the ever-living shit out of your comatose body. That being said, and before you label us "violent" again, isn't it true that some South American soccer player was KILLED not too long ago because he scored on his own goal? Funny, I can't remember the last time that happened in our war-mongering country...

There will be more than one dead if any Hoosier tries.
I'm a Hoosier. My family's lived here since 1818.
How long have you lived here?
Reason I ask, you don't seem to know Hoosiers very well.
IOW, we wouldn't bother you unless you were making a MAJOR dolt out of your-seff.

405. The turning point. (5/10/06)
In message #327." London bombing", I have pointed out in recent plots, Feds (DOJ, FBI, DEA) always planned terror attack to divert public attentions from the framed cases. All six warnings (April 2004, Mueller; June 2004, Mueller and Ashcroft; July 2004, Tom Ridge; August 2004, Tom Ridge; October 2004, FBI; January 2005, FBI) were about domestic terror.(except one was about HongKong.) First two were from the heads of DOJ and FBI. After I doubted how could DOJ take over the work of DHS to issue terror warnings, Tom Ridge temporarily gave two warnings. Then they let FBI do it in the name of plan and individual case.
Things change dramatically after February 2005. People might neglect one interesting phenomenon that they haven't been harassed by terror warning since then. The frequent orange code alarm disappeared for some time.
But I strongly feel the difference. I found the violence abroad replaced pre-terror warning. Now the events connected to the framed case were bombings in London. The air planes accidents in different countries. And the security alert was set by Interpol not FBI anymore. (see # 383. The cross murder deal (2/7/06))
FBI dominates domestic intelligence. How could it manipulate foreign events which belongs to CIA's domain? Does the DOJ expand its power? Yes, it does.
I noticed the turning point was in February 2005 when Bush nominated John Negroponte to be the Director of National Intelligence. After he is settled in, Negroponte aggressively took over many powers from the CIA.
Quote, "February 18, 2005
Axis Power, the United States, Chooses Israeli National to Head Secret Police, Forces Prepare For Further Global Conquest
By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Russian Subscribers
In the latest frightening internal move by the United States against the world, we have come to learn that President Bush has appointed the Israeli national John Negroponte to be the head of all 15 of the their intelligence organizations, and which includes the CIA.
Not known to many Americans is the fact that all Jewish citizens in the United States are also citizens of Israel. To such a strange circumstance this has brought to America we can even read in this newspaper article from the Los Angeles Times about how this effects even the United States, "Galvis was attempting a feat perhaps unprecedented in American politics: holding two elected offices simultaneously in two countries. He is, after all, a citizen of both places, with a pair of passports to prove it. <http://www.globalpolicy.org/nations/citizen/multiple.htm>
http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index683.htm
I have said, "Israel controls D.O.J.. D.O.J. controls FBI. And FBI keep Americans under surveillance, include the Presidents." (see "295. Who controls D.O.J.? (3/7/05)") Now it is not only the FBI. It's the whole intelligence. The recent "Goss scandal" can be viewed as a step to take over CIA.
The pre warning of "terror attack" is replaced by violence abroad. (both will justify a coming terror attack in US as Al Qaida's work not a crime of insider's.) That's the result of a power expanding of DOJ. Although American people can be relaxed for a little while not being annoyed by terror alarm, the end will be the same: another terror attack will apply on US once the Feds successfully frames a case on me. (or to justify another war in Mid-east for the security of Israel)

Rendova said "I'm a Hoosier. My family's lived here since 1818."
So what? How long has your dog's blood line been in the United States?
The fact is that the daily topics in this nation will no longer be dominated by hate, race baiting and shadows. We are about making money, doing business and minding our own business.
If something were going to be done about illegal immigration then something would have been done over 20 years ago when they started flooding into New York and Texas. It's too late and you will need to find another topic to stir up hatred because this one is not the one that will ignite civil war in this country no way, no how.:lolhit:

Cranston,
You said that since we didn't do what needed to be done twenty years ago we shouldn't do anything now. We didn't do anything about lots of things twenty, fifty, one hundred years ago that we do something about now. The fact that past administrations did little or nothing to solve a problem in no way means we should continue to do nothing.
The problem of illegal immigration is not something that will go away if ignored. It will only get worse. It is not only people flooding this country and changing the entire wage structure of the country but the threat of criminals and terrorists crossing our porous borders.
Illegal aliens have already so changed the wage structure in the United States that certain jobs that were historically held by poorly educated Americans are no longer available to them. These people are effectively priced out of the job market by people who pay no taxes and send most of their money out of the country. It might even be argued that being in favor of open borders is racist because the people most negatively affected by the influx of cheap, illegal labor are poor, uneducated blacks.

The problem of illegal immigration is not something that will go away if ignored. It will only get worse.
All the conservatve twerps in America --who are fretting themselves to no end over this immigration problem-- need to WAKE UP and fucking realize that illegal immigaration CONTINUES TO HAPPEN because the Rightwing faction running the country INTENDS FOR it to continue to happen.
Cheap labor is very important to some of the most powerful cronies of the Washington crowd.
They could stop it immediately..........if they WANTED to stop it.
But they do not. And all the handwringing that people are doing over it will not sway the political powers-that-be.........it takes the immense amount of influence and money that the wealthy owners of the industries and enterprises that count on cheap foreign labor can bring to bear to get politicians to arrange things the way that THEY prefer it, and the way that PROFITS them most.
The People and their desires and wishes are nothing to the Bush (or any OTHER band of rightwingers that have ever ran the country) cabal; their wealthy cronies will have their way.
And they will CONTINUE to have a huge pool of CHEAP Mexican labor to draw on.

I've heard that Hoosier comes from a question that read: Who's her son? and/or who's her daughter? Do you know if it is so, or just something someone invented?

That's an interesting question...there's at least 9 billion definitions of the word "Hoosier"--the most accepted goes back to pioneer days, when an approaching stranger would be greeted with calls of "Who's here?"
Somehow this stuck.
I have a question tho. Why does Illinois call themselves the "Land of Lincoln"?

He called the citizens of Lafayette, Indiana (his hometown) "Nazis and thugs" because the city fathers wouldn't let him give a concert real late at night when people had to work the next day.

One of the biggest drug lords of all time, had zillions of dollars, rose from a slum, owned the entire country, collected art and Thoroughbred horses, tried to pass himself off as cultured, admired Hitler, had a mountaintop fortress filled with priceless paintings, listened to opera, appeared absolutely untouchable until he was betrayed by insiders and met with a bloody end in a hotel room.
