I recently decided to try one of those online RPG's and being a cheap bastard I went with Guild Wars because there's no subscription fee.

I purchased a copy of Guild Wars- Factions, and am looking for anyone who plays the game that might be willing to help out a noob. Thanks. :)

I've only got the original game and not Factions. But can help you out with most points of Guildwars. I was tempted to buy it but have opted to go with World of Warcraft instead because its more forgiving for the PvE (player vs enemy) style of play as opposed to PvP (player vs player) play that GuildWars almost exclusively forces upon you.

If your willing to purchase the original Guildwars (Or if buying Factions gives you the original guildwars) then Ill help you out in that.

To be honest, I don't know if the two games are completely seperate or not. I don't have a solid understanding of how the online world is set up.

I too just got Guild wars some of my friends have the Fractions one also so they can still play with me. I am very new at this also. They should really sell a book with it the idiot guide to Guild Wars. It is a cool game but not the easiest to figure out all that you need to know to play. I get to a mission in the mountains and these ice things keep kicking my ass. So I too would love any advice on how to play the game..hehe
