This morning, an unfortunate accident befell one of my prized Blue Willow porcelain pieces--a ginger jar.
The kids claimed it "fell off" the end table all by itself....
Just now, on my dinner break, I went to a new store that specializes in junk--but it's nice junk--like Depression Glass, old tins, baskets, tea sets, old-fashioned useless stuff like that, to try to replace this item (they're hard to find--no one makes Blue Willow much anymore).
They had dozens of beautiful pieces in their huge store and I'm afraid I'm now minus a mere $87 for a planter, a bud vase, a saucer, and a little dish.
Oh well, you can't take it with you.
