Hey, if anyone here is a fan of RENT the Musical, there's a new show in the LA Area that you should check out! It's called Tick...Tick...BOOM! and it's about the life of Jonathan Larson BEFORE he wrote Rent.
here's a little publicity blurb I found:
tick...tick...BOOM! is a pop rock musical about facing crossroads in life and holding onto your dreams. It tells the story of Jonathan, a promising young composer on the eve of his 30th birthday. His girlfriend wants to get married and move out of the city (tick), his best friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue (tick), and he's still waiting tables and trying to write the great American musical before time, and, unbeknownst to him, life, passes him by (BOOM!).

So it's coming to the Coronet Theatre in LA from June 7th - June 16th, and I've heard Wilson Cruz from "My So-Called Life" and Tami Tappan Damiano and Andrew Samonsky are starring in it. OMG I would so kill to go see that. I have watched Rent the movie but think it so doesn't to justice to the Broadway showing. This sounds really good, might have to break down and do a road trip. HEHEHE
