I'm trying to gauge how affective putting something in a signature on a forum is. As you can see below I am advertising a webpage. I'm the webdesigner, and an old friend is the writter.

Have you checked it out?

If you have, does the short bit of text in my signature properly describe it?

What would be a better way to describe it?

And if you haven't checked it out, why not?

Thanks for your help!

p.s. This weeks post is not the best. so if you are reading it for the first time I wouldn't start there. Date: 2002-02-14 Part: 1 is particularly amusing in my opinion. Actuallly there are a lot of good ones. You could check out the forum and see what people liked in the "Rate the Posts" section.

It seems to describe it all right, but I have always preferred putting a small graphics button instead of a text link. As you can see, I made a graphic button for my own site (SysRq).

In any case, I did check it out, but only because you asked. I generally do not follow links in sigs unless they are of something that interests me. For some reason, the way you described it did not interest me. Maybe invent a catch phrase?
