As a thirty second degree Mason and former Master of my lodge I can assure you that Leonardo DaVinci was not a Freemason.

From the Revolutionary War:
Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, Patrick Henry, Nicholas Herkimer, Henry Knox, James McHenry, Richard Montgomery, James Otis, Israel Putnam, Rufus Putnam, Paul Revere, Isaiah Thomas, and George Washington.
More than a quarter of the U.S. Presidents were Freemasons.
Gerald Ford, James A. Garfield, Warren G. Harding, Andrew Jackson, Andrew Johnson, William McKinley, James Monroe, James K. Polk, Franklin Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Harry S. Truman and George Washington.

Some minor corrections.
More than a quarter of the U.S. Presidents were Freemasons.
Gerald Ford, James A. Garfield, Warren G. Harding, Andrew Jackson, Andrew Johnson, William McKinley, James Monroe, James K. Polk, Franklin Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Harry S. Truman and George Washington.
With thirteen Masons out of 43 Presidents, that comes to slightly less than one quarter.
Other famous American Freemasons were/are:
Bud Abbot, Gene Autry, Sugar Ray Robinson, Count Basie, Merriwether Lewis, Irving Berlin, Danny Thomas, Daniel Boone, Kweisi Mfume, Dave Thomas, Jim
