But do we always realize that we have that hidden message or are we expecting them to be mind readers. Or is it easier for us to take the hurt and think that we are saving them the grief of having to deal with us. Do we have the right to do this? I am beginning to see his point that We need to trust and believe, not run as fast as we can the other way!

The problem lies in the perception. If you take it at face value, and not read anything into it, you wont have to deal with the hurt.
I've been hurt more times by someone reading something that wasnt there than I have been by them taking it at face value.

I have scores of saved emails exchanged between me and what could have been a special someone to me that illustrate just that. I keep them to remind me of things that can go wrong if you let them

Yes perceptions.... that can kill you alone.
Some people take my being bubbly and outgoing and very friendly to mean so much more then it does. They don't know the real me that can get scared and shy and is not as out going as I seem. But perceptions make people think other things of me, like I can be a bitch and a snob because I am quieter. Don't get me wrong I like to have fun with friends and make lots of friends but perceptions of people can be so wrong. ;)

It is funny how when you have so much on your mind that you kind of go through life just in a fog. You do and say things just because you have to. For me I go and hide and try not to have people around me. They always to that try and cheer you up and show you life is not greener any where else but right here. Freak just let me process and if I ask for help then help if not please just let me think...I am a person who has so much going on and so many responsibilities and my fear is letting any one down or to fail. I have a problem with failing. I can't do it or I will die trying. ANAL yes I can be, but I am also one of the most loyal people you can meet and would go to any lengths for a friend or family member. There lies my problem I put family to high up the list and my needs are never the priority. Oh well such is life and whining gets you no where so suck it up and deal.

I wouldnt let the fear of failure get you down. Failure is just a part of life. You learn from it and move on. Your failures are what makes you the person you are today. What very few realize is there's a fear of success too. It's the driving force behind "good enough" and perfection. Overcoming this one can be the hardest thing to do. Achieving perfection is hard enough bu itself, but once you're there, it means there isnt anything left to do but go on to the next insurmountable task. If you stop at "good enough", it will never be finished and will stay with you for the rest of your life.

My friend phoned me crying yesterday. He dad died in a house fire. He is gone and it makes you realize how you need to make sure to tell the ones you love that you love them everyday. Wow what a couple days can do and change your life forever. Have you ever done something that at the time you thought was best. Even though it killed you inside and hurt you so much, but did it because you thought it would be better in the long run.
The old saying if you love something set if free if it comes back it was yours if it doesn't it was never meant to be. That is so full of shit.
I did something like that OK maybe not exactly but let something go thinking I was doing the best thing and the pain would fade with time. I guess for some this is hard to see how someone could do that. :(
Well this chain of events has been started and well not to sure if you can ever truly get back from it. Trust is a big thing, hurt is the other thing.
People never see you the same again and that is hard too. Not sure, just don't know can it work after this?

Silence fills that space and you have to fight really hard to move on. Even when forgiveness is give can you forgive yourself and not have the demons come out of the closet.

You know life is what you make of it. If you choose to be pissy and sad then that is what is going to go on around you and will gravitate to you. If you take an attitude that anything is possible and life is what you make of it and trust in others, you can have an amazing life. I guess it all boils down to trust and how much you are willing to put out and give. I can home to recharge and got a really good perspective on life and well Love my brother. Even when he is a royal pain in my arse, he loves me and sets me strait or grounds me for a lack of a better word.
Plus having good friends that care is always a bonus.
