Can anyone help? had a few probs couldnt boot in safe mode or any other. reinstalled win 98 se over the top of problem and got all systems working without losing any progs or info exept for some reason now i cannot enable dma as the checkbox has gone .it was definately there before. baffled

Try reinstalling your hard drive controller or updating it...look at your hard drive manufacturer's website. You are talking about a hard drive and not some other kind of drive, right?
