Judging by on-the-record statements of the US officials, Washington does not want the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to be applied to Iran (as suggested by the EU) which, if applied, would make it easier to run sensible negotiations with Tehran that only wants to complete its peaceful nuclear program so that to get an offing to produce cheap nuclear power without developing nuclear weapon program that sure leads to escalation of tensions between nuclear weapons states (NWS) and non-NWS like Iran (that's is hopefully what worries Washington so much).

Yet, vice-versa, today the US deliberately disclaims the obligations it has committed itself when signed the NPT in 1968 and violates the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty signed in 1996 carrying out test of bunker-busters and mini-nukes in the Nevada desert. Through this, the US encourages other nuclear-capable states like India, Pakistan and North Korea to develop their own nuclear weapon programs and possess nuclear weapons to enhance their security which, if a military conflict occurs - and we are really close to it, will overkill Earth!

Surprisingly, Washington acts as if they didn't imagine this to be real, though it really is. The US deliberately hypercharges things about Iran to have a good chance to test its new nuclear weapons there. IMHO someone in the Congress must be receiving good profit for lobbying all this crap.

A few things.

First off, Iran sits on top of some of the largest oil fields in the world. They have no need of nuclear power. The idea that the Iran is developing nuclear energy as a cheap source of power makes zero sense, it'd be much cheaper to use fossil fuels.

Then there's the fact that Ahmandinejad has been shooting off his mouth, claiming that Israel is going to be wiped off the map, that a clash of civilizations is coming and Iran is going to win the war against the West and bring about the 12 Iman.

That's because the U.S. signed such treaties with a country that no longer exists, dammit.

No, North Korea got the bomb because the Clinton Administration went and gave nuclear material to North Korean government for a promise not to go and make bombs with it. Also, U.S. action in no way caused the Indian and Pakistani government to acquire bombs.

The idea that the Iran is developing nuclear energy as a cheap source of power makes zero sense, it'd be much cheaper to use fossil fuels. 1st maybe they want to sell their oil. How fucking arrogant to tell Iran what to do with its own oil.

2nd Israel has done more then shoot off its mouth. They have stolen much land and continue to do so all while violating more UN resolutions then Iraq and Iran put togather.
That's because the U.S. signed such treaties with a country that no longer exists, dammit. Yes because when you go to the court house and change your name you no longer have to honor any contracts you have ever signed...
