Porter Goss and President Bush announce on Friday that Goss is stepping down as CIA director.
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- CIA Director Porter Goss is resigning, President Bush announced Friday.
"Porter's tenure at the CIA was one of transition, where he's helped this agency become integrated into the intelligence community, and that was a tough job," Bush said in a photo session with Goss at the Oval Office.
"He's got a five-year plan to increase the number of analysts and operatives, which is going to help make this country a safer place and help us win the war on terror," the president said.

There's a lot of speculation that Goss' #3 guy, Kyle Foggo, was involved with Duke Cunningham, Abramhof and the poker-party hookers at the Watergate complex and more ... other honorable mention names are, Mitchell Wade and Brent Wilkes.
The right wing media has tried to push this story off the front page by pounding 24/7 on the Kennedy kid but from the rumors going round ... this one could be a big one if the media lets it break.

We’ve put together a primer on the connection between Goss and the Cunningham scandal:

It looks now as if Goss was fired at the urging of Negroponte. The CIA has been resisting the efforts of the DNI.
If they announce a replacement very quickly then he was fired.

I wonder how the Central Intellegence Agency need to be ''intergeated into the intellegence community'',dosnt that sound like an admission of failure.

This article says it was the Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board that tipped off Bush about Goss being involved in the HookerGate investigation.

Good read (short) and if it's on target, I suspect it will be headline news in a couple of days, once again making a blatant liar out of our president.
When is he going to learn it's better to just tell the truth?

Maybe...but to no avail.
The millions of willfully blind ReichWing Kool-Aid drinkers in this country (a group that is WELL represented on these boards) will simply cram their fingers in their fucking ears and begin chanting -- ""Nah nah nah nah naaaah, I can't hear you! Nah nah nah nah naaaah, I can't hear you!""

Point taken but here's the deal ... Bush (republican party) poll numbers are so far in the toilet that they stand to lose not just big in November but lose Huge and they are sinking even further and faster as they approach Nixon numbers.
The so-called Kool-aid drinkers in congress are no longer relying on Diebold to switch the votes for them. The numbers are simply too far out of whack for that to happen other than in a few narrowly targed districts. Too many people watching, too many people anti-hacking, too many people are hip to electronic voting machines.
If Bush's numbers don't start imporving you may see his own republican congress call for impeachment articles to save their a$$es in November. You and others aren't hearing the real poll numbers ... the insiders know what they are and it ain't pretty.
Never Give Up.
On Edit: No sooner said and it's a done deal ... Bush sinks to 31% ... only 7 points higher than Nixon.

Negroponte's deputy is tapped for the job a few days after Goss resigns.
Goss was fired - no question.

Hayden is toast. He's tied to Cunningham ... republicans won't touch him with a ten foot pole.

Still waiting for all those heads to roll after that little booboo on Sept. 11, 2001.
Anyone remember?
