it seems there is a "day without an immigrant" boycott going on here in CA, maybe in the whole country. It appears they are trying to show us spoiled gringos how life would be if there were no "immigrants" around to do the dirty work (notice the Orwellian way they conviently leave off the word illegal and just go with immigrant, as if we are against any and all immigrants). My propasal on this, simply to make it fair and see what it would really be like if there were no "immigrants", is that they also stop using government services such as food stamps and welfare, stop going to emergency rooms for the sniffles, and stop committing crimes and going to prison. If we are truly to see what life would be like without them isnt it only fair to have them stop EVERYTHING? simply not mowing a lawn or picking lettuce or hammering a nail is only showing us half of what life would be without a flood of illegal workers and the 3 to 4 people each one of them brings over that does nothing. Thats my idea.

Good idea.. it seems the media and all these protesters ALWAYS "forget" about that darned "illegal" word that sits in front of "immigrant"... we welcome immigrants, but not ones that sneak in.

I was listening to a local radio show, and the guy had a woman on who was informing the public about how the census is getting all screwed up because there are so many illegals in California that they are allowing CA to get more seats and votes in Congress. So they are pretty much taking away voices from Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, etc.. and putting them into California. Just another thing wrong with illegal immigration.

Dont think youd notice,an immigrant free day means the cops could 'drive the kids to school','mow the lawn,take out the garbage,walk the dog,go home at lunchtime and get shagged by the husband,cause thered be no crime,seeing the immigrants are watching that spanish cable channel.What yous gonna do next month,Mexico plays in the World Cup..

That is just intellectual dishonesty, not something Orwell started. What is Orwellian is when governments use their vast powers of bureaucracy to hide gross violations of human rights by propagandizing the exact opposite of what they are actually doing.
