I dunno - Firefox will move on to more innovative things at some point and MS will have to play catch-up again. And invariably, MS implements good ideas in such a way as to be completely irritating.

Firefox is great for MS. Let Firefox think up and test in the market new ideas ready to be incorporated into explorer. MS will always have close to 100% of the browser market & they don't make any money off explorer - so why do they care.
Firefox is a pretty good product, but overall I have yet to find any major software product that ever matches up to MS (maybe adobe comes close) - they simply make fantastic software. People love to bash MS because they are the big guy & complain about security flaws etc. Firefox, Linux etc all have major security flaws but people don't attack them like they do MS products.

I love to bash Micro$oft. But not as much as I like to bash Micro$oft tools.
I dunno, Firefox already has a pretty sizable segment of the market now, and unlike Microsoft, the Mozilla Foundation does it's best to engender customer appreciation. I think a lot of people will be sticking with Firefox. Then again, MS can always pull some Tony Soprano shit and purposefully nuke Firefox's performance so people will have no choice but to switch.

Firefox has a tiny and now declining share of the market. Many people will stick with it though. The time when they will drop it is when they get a new OS - if the MS browser is good they will not re-install Firefox.
MS makes some really outstanding and incredible software products. Office, SQL server being great examples.

Office is a bloated, buggy piece of shit. It's really too bad though that there aren't any real competitors that are worth anything, if only to kick Microsoft in the ass and get them to improve their crap. SQL server is probably the best piece of software MS has ever written, though if I ever found myself in the position of running my own server, I'd probably still pick MySQL and save the dough.
Microsoft has come a long way, I'll give you that.

Office is great.
I use SQL server all the time - it's a grand achievement. MySQL is not bad - but really isn't in the same ball park as SQL server.

Office is great.
I have to agree, after using the Word Perfect equivalent that came with my computer. What invariably bugs the crap out of me, however, is the way Office is always trying to second guess what I'm doing. If you indent one paragraph it wants to indent them all and good luck trying to talk it out of it.

Microsoft makes some good software. Very usually. IE was good software...in 2000. Microsoft kind of sat back and left it alone since then. Hence, it sucks badly at the present time.

Yea, Microsoft makes good software, but only when they're facing competition. Look at their search engine now, they're up against google, so now they're putting millions into this new search engine, same thing with the browser, and they also had to improve their base too when they faced losing customers to linux (albit not many). I say long live Firefox, and keep Microsoft on their toes!

Switch your users to Firefox and make money.
You already want people to switch to Firefox. Now's the time to get serious about it. Google is paying $1 for each new Firefox user you refer.
This is pretty amazing. Now you can advance your ideals, save people from popups and spyware hell, and make some serious money. Millions of people have heard about Firefox and are ready to switch--all they need is a friendly push.
That's where these scripts come in. They're specially formulated to give just the right push, maximizing souls-saved and dollars-for-you.

Firefox is actually a really great browser. It's got nice features like tabbed browsing and remembers passwords far better than IE. I use it sometimes when tabbed browsing makes life easier on some tasks, but normally I use IE and I do not find it lacking.
Also FireFox displays web pages correctly 99% of the time - this was netscapes problem - it never displayed pages correctly. Netscape thought they had some right to be different with a 2% market share (now a 0% market share)
What is a correct rendering of a webpage? It's however IE displays it. With a 98% market share - this is the browser web developers focus on - and if a browser is to be taken seriously it must display pages exactly the same as IE. IE is the standard - nothing else matters on that point.

I switched to Firefox and love it. There are a couple of things I still have to do in IE because the security in Firefox prevents me doing them. So I do that and go back to Firefox. I love tabbed browsing and the themes. I won't go back to IE.:drinktoth

I love IE6 with a passion (With MyIE2 in front)
You should be able to adjust the settings for FF and allow scripts or whatever else you wanna do...... (Its default are set to disallow everything (Which i can do in MyIE2 also))
