I think it may grab the greatest audience here, and I am nothing if not a total attention-seeker. That being said, I must say that in the few months since I have been here, many things have changed. The site has been upgraded and is full of all sorts of fancy schmancy features. Great, thanks!
I would be deceitful if I said I was not a little frustrated with the newest batch of allforums posters. What happened to the days of real, thoughtful debates? Even those who argued incessantly at least spent a little effort and thought into their reponses or threads. Now, we get one liners that are barely coherent and add nothing to the topic itself.
I am not calling anyone out, I just wish those of you (DEMS, REPUBS, LEFTIES, RIGHTIES) with the clearest thoughts were not being overmasked by dweedle dum and dweedle dummer.
Stepping off my soapbox now.

I am going to assume that you took this personally, perhaps I will read your posts and see if there is good reason for that.
My name is Nicole, but I imagine you are asking what gives me credibility to post such a post.
I am a poster who has been away for a while that is quite disappointed in the lack of deep thought or coherency in the newests posters threads.
LOL.........
Oh Hello !!!
Im a Dweedle Dee and proud of it !!
I come here for fun,,,,,,if i want to debate there are plenty of area's at allforums to do that ....
Maybe u should look around these boards and find them..
Oh,,,,,,,,,welcome back btw.......:D

In my defense, this was posted in debate central, but moved.

Haha, I take nothing personally.

I figured it out, You are an attention whore.

Be the change you want to see.
Maybe it was thought a dweedle dee thread rather than a debate thread.....
You know,,,,,i work a very sad and stressful job,,,,,,,,,bum fluff posts (dweedle Dee posts) are what make me forget all the shit i deal with at work,,,,,,,so as long as there is a place for my posts here im gonna carry on with them....

What did I say wrong...Dweedle Dee?:lolhit:
hahaha I'm just picking. I'm sure she can handle a bit of ribbing, after all she seeks debates. If she can't handle, it's best she bow out now.
Is that your momma in your av?
Oops..I have my glasses on now and have to say you're pretty. Sorry if I offended.

I moved it to chat central - it's more a topic for here.
It's a valid question, but the best solution is to start thoughtfully debating!

If it needed sayin so bad Bit/Byte,,,,,,,,,why didnt u say it ???
Diva Said she was quite disappointed in the lack of deep thought or coherency in the newests posters threads.
And yet Bit/Byte,,,,,,,u have posted on most of these new posters threads.
If light hearted posting is not for u,,,,,,,then there are plenty of debatable threads on these boards.....
As for people who who cant bring themselves to post on such threads thats fine,,,,,,,but,,i think give it a go,,,,,,,,it can be good fun,,,and u never know u might enjoy yourselves........

I am sure this was intended as a compliment. So if I was unattractive, then you would not care if you offended me or not? Nice logic.

Ask and yee shall receive. Why do I think this thread is going to evolve from a light-hearted vent to a place where the dummies post their dribble??
:)
I am sure this was intended as a compliment.
Wow, you're a smart un, ain't ya?
So if I was unattractive, then you would not care if you offended me or not? Nice logic.
Ummm..no.
It had nothing to do with being attractive, and had everything to do with looking old and wrinkled as opposed to young and wrinkled.
I'd have said the same thing if you were butt ugly and wrinkled.
^look within that last sentence for a compliment.*just trying to help you along.*

As a user who lurks much more than they post, I too have noticed the change in this forum. However, I don't see it in the negative light that Divalatina does.
When I first started lurking and reading on here, it was dull and dead. There weren't a whole lot of daily posts. People would start a thread and there would be maybe 1 or 2 replies. A newbie would introduce themselves and only a couple people would welcome them.
But lately this forum has been hopping. There have been more threads and it seems like people are having more fun interacting with each other. There are all kinds of areas and topics on this forum where people can debate and dwell on the serious aspects of life, so what's wrong with a place you can come to have fun and relax too?
Maybe someone's a little sore that another poster is in the spotlight?

When did Diva say that she didn't like light topics? She said the quality of the debate has gone down, which is something else entirely.

It was in the first sentence of what she wrote: I think it may grab the greatest audience here, and I am nothing if not a total attention-seeker. If it took a whole minute to read that passage, there's a problem.
Wow, you're a smart un, ain't ya?
She is being pretty polite, and you turned what should have been a rather short thread into unnecessary blather. Why the fruitless crudities?

But apparently spelling and punctuation is not the strong suit, right?
Now ask and yee shall received. That is rude.

Are u one of these posters who trawl round lots of message boards stir up some shit then leave ??

For me at least I am not very interested in debating the 'now' issues (that would be most of the topics in News and Politics). I enjoy discussing timeless topics more. The problem with this is that you eventually get quite tired of reading about or responding to those "Timeless" topics which you have already thoroughly participated in at one time or another. So nowadays I don't spend as much time on the forums anymore.
When did Diva say that she didn't like light topics? She said the quality of the debate has gone down, which is something else entirely.
Right. yet here she is posting in this thread instead of debating in other boards on the forum.
If you do a search on her, you'll see she posts 1 or 2 days per month, and the last debate I see she was in she was being a spelling nazi.
Wow, dejavu all over again or what? Eh Red?
Anyhoo, this is a friggin' riot. :lolhit:

Welcome back divalatina. I don't know about the rest, but I missed your posts.
There is a place for serious posts, posts that tend to be longer and take more time and effort to read and respond to and there is a place for Tweedledee and Tweedledumb posts. There is even a place for Tweedledumberyet posts.
There have been quite a few serious discussions here while you have been gone, diva. I suggest you look at the illegal aliens posts. Since you are Mexican/American and have suggested you hold a sort of dual loyalty to both countries I would be interested in reading what you would have to add to the discussion.
It was in the first sentence of what she wrote: I think it may grab the greatest audience here, and I am nothing if not a total attention-seeker. If it took a whole minute to read that passage, there's a problem.
Truthfully, I skipped the entire 1st paragraph. I suppose I should try to read it all, but I was trying to squeeze time in to post here and was in a hurry, I didn't do so well in skim reading. haha
She is being pretty polite, and you turned what should have been a rather short thread into unnecessary blather. Why the fruitless crudities?
I'm warming up to be able to debate properly?
or Im just friggin around.
and could everyone PLEASE STOP PM'ING ME AND CALLING ME A BITCH!!!, thank you. :D

Red, I like your topics. They are non-threatening and get a lot of people to participate. Don't stop with them. Of course from now on I will be calling you Tweedledumb. :flowers:
Dio, there are lots of subjects we really haven't touched on. We have spent very little time discussing alternative energy sources, whether the U.S. should continue with what is basically a two party system or if there should be more parties. If more, should there be as many as in Germany or as many as in Israel. What changes should be made in the educational system, not only in the U.S. but in G.B., Canada, and other areas of the world? n Is religion a positive or a negative force in the world.
I tried introducing a few serious topics a while back; do great people make history or does history make great people, why do certain people earn the sobriquet Great? They didn't seem to go very far.
Maybe you should introduce a topic or topics you would be interested in discussing and see where it goes. Some of us might even be interested in discussing topics as varied as String Theory and/or the views of Robert Nozick.

I agree Red, your threads are always a pleasure.
Dio, there are lots of subjects ....
Those are neither timeless nor outside the realm of news/politics. Dio takes part in rigorous religious debate or simple banter about movies, the fun stuff of life. :D

In my lifetime I've discovered that those whom have to advertise their self proclaimed intellectual superiority, are generally far too dull to add anything sharp to a discussion. Don't you dare think about changing into one of those dull types Red!!!!
This is "Chat Central" and even though this thread was supposedly posted somewhere else, the original author obviously found it over here and hasn't yet realized that she can create any topic of discussion she chooses, within the rules of the forum....so, by all means, post something thought provoking that will be the catalyst for an intellectual smorgasbord. In other words, don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out of the tweedle dum threads.
