Taking out the garbage!

Scrubbing the bathtub and the walls around it. Of course, this is not a very frequent chore, so it's not so bad.
I would hate any yard/lawn/garden work, but I rent aparment now so don't do any of that stuff.
Living alone, cleaning generally feels...okay. If it's messy, I made the mess. If I keep clean and organized, then I don't have to clean for a long time. No one else to blame and no one else to mess up the place. I definitely hate to clean up after other people.

I love doing housework/yardwork. But since I have an insane aversion to feces, taking care of the cat's litterbox tops the list.

I do too but since my wife and I each have our own bathroom I eventually wind up picking the clothes up and putting them in the hamper.

I hate washing dirty pots and pans. The dishwasher just doesn't get the grime off of them, so I have to. Oh and I hate washing windows because I have way too many and my living room ceiling is about 20 feet high where the worst 3 windows are.

I love cleaning my windows,,,,,,,i have a glass conservatory and i just put my music on and get to work.........

Dish washers never remove all the grime do they ??? :(

DrewM
04-18-2006, 02:25 AM
Without a dish washer - dishes do not get washed - you use paper plates and plastic silverware. So removal of 100% of the grime is secondary. They always look clean to me. Removing dishes from the dish washer is bad enough - the thought of actually having to wash them is too horrible to imagine.

All activities like cleaning, laundry etc - all seem to be a complete waste of time to me, better to have somebody else handle all that.

I don't mind chores. Mostly it's relaxing to do repititive housework. Love yard work, and digging around in black rich dirt--looks so good you could almost eat it.

I like sitting on my bed reading the newspaper (for the benefit of general family knowledge) while the irrigation system is watering the lawn.

I hate cleaning plates or bowls or cups that ppl throw in the sink ontop of other plates or bowls or cups that are covered in food. By food I mean ketchup still on a plate or spaghetti sauce, etc. People can't take a few *seconds* to rinse it off... it just adds to the mess. And when I accidentally stick my finger in it makes me sick. lol

Other than that I don't mind cleaning. I usually keep my things clean so I don't have to clean too often. I'm a freak when it comes to this stuff.

I hate cleaning up after ppl who are inconsiderate and don't care for other ppl's feelings and property. (dorm- roomates).

Well I guess I am anal:

I like to clean as long as I have some good tunes playing. What I hate is if I have been away and my house was clean when I left and my roommate and his son have made a mess and not cleaned up before I come home. Now that really frosts my ass. He also knows not to be home for a few days so that I will calm down and not hit him with the frying pan. NOT that I have but It is a nice thought. That is the only job I hate to do.....
Sorry but some times men just don't get this cleaning thing. Like I asked him to clean the bathroom and I go look and he is using just hot water to clean. I asked were the comet was. He looked right at me and said what is comet for.
OMG that was it. hehe
He knows better now. lol

haha.

Or someone who when making a sandwich throws the bread on the counter and starts making it without a plate or napkin or anything. Then doesn't even clean the crumbs up. Or leaves dirty glasses and wrappers all over my room!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol

I'll start ironing when my wife starts mowing the lawn. I'll start doing other housework when she begins weeding, trimming shrubs, putting in plants, changing the oil in HER car, washing the cars and a host of other things I do. We both occassionaly do work that is mainly the other's but the inside work is usually done by my wife and the outside work by me.

I like yard work but it depends on what it is. I like gardening. That is fun. Atleast until there are weeds everywhere and it becomes a hassle. I love flowers but I hate the bees that fly around. haha. They are interesting creatures though.

I don't like raking though! I hate raking. ugh. I like mowing the lawn on a ride mower. haha. I'm such a hard worker huh. :P

If it wasn't for the sore back and arm muscles most things wouldn't be too bad. :)

I spent five hours weeding yesterday and another two and a half today. The path going to my Koi pond was overgrown with weeds. I don't like using herbicides near the pond because they are highly toxic to fish. Tomorrow I mow and weed the vegetable garden.

A Dolphin is not the animal but an automatic pool cleaner. You put it in the pool, plug it in and start it up. It vacuums the bottom of the pool and the walls and also filters out particles down to two microns in size.

Grandaughter's 10th birthday.
Young cousins high school graduation.
Combined Fourth of July and birthday party.
Pool Party as son's house.
Forty sixth high school class reunion at my house.

Thank God I don't drink. I'd weigh a thousand pounds if I had a few beers and a few mixed drinks at each of those.

It is a bit of a drag ALWAYS being the designated driver though.

I had this same argument with my ex now but he calls it football too, Brit thing.

But soccer is soccer: round white ball and all
football is brown football shaped and even weirder.

Gaelic Football can be described as a mixture of soccer and rugby,
I like rugby and have even played it for fun.
So sunday was a good party day.

Well for me I live alone and so all the up keep is up to me. But I don't usually mind much I use cleaning as a way to forget life. I crank up some Def Leppard or some AC/DC very loud and just start way to many jobs and just keep going till I forget what had me so upset. The take a long bubble bath and change to tone of the music and veg. lol

Hey Guys! i know it's been a long time since i've been on here. I have been a very busy girl! :) Since I've moved into my new apartment I am SOO anal about how things in my apt are and how clean everything is. I don't know why but I just like things a certain way! lol I feel like I'm being maybe a little too picky, but then again, I live by myself! :) I'll try to check this more often to chat!

I don't mind house cleaning and I'm told that I do it pretty well. My eldest son says he always knew when I cleaned house....you can just feel it that mom had been busy when you walked through the door. But I would have to say that I hate cleaning the bathroom. Now, as for men, what is it in their DNA that compels them to leave dirty dishes on the counter when the sink is an inch or 2 away? Or leave an empty bottle in the refrigerator and not throw it away? Or leave an empty container on the counter when the trash can is right there? They can't seem to get their dirty clothes into the laundry basket...it dangles or just plain misses. I could go on but you get the idea. So, what's up, guys? :slap:
