I am presently reading, World Mythology, Third Edition, and, Generations, History of America's Future 1584 to 2069.

I tend to read mainly history or related fields. When doing lighter reading I like mysteries.

I also try to read what my grandchildren are reading so I can discuss the books with them. That is how I got totally hooked on Harry Potter.

The 48 laws of Power. A very interesting and thought provoking read.

Here's a link to the laws themselves, the book provides indepth examples of adherence or transgression of each law using historical examples and the resulting outcome of such.

I enjoy reading food and travel writing. Stuff like "The Soul Of A Chef", "Kitchen Confidential", "Blue Highways", "On The Road", the Theroux books, the Bryson books. I also read interior design/decoration books to get more inspirations, but I wouldn't really call it reading. I read philosophy books, but usually I am only interested in those that compare/summarize/criticise philosophers and ideas, rather than books that concentrate solely on one philosopher's ideas or books that are the actual works of a particular philosopher. I read film criticism and history.

Don't we have a book section on the forum already?

Last book I got is ........."The Games Do Count" ....by Brian Kilmeade. Haven't read it yet though.

I am currently reading ......"Scarne's Complete Guide To
Gambling" .....by John Scarne himself. I won't read the whole thing though ........I just have an itch to roll some dice.

Killing Ground--the Civil War and the Changing American Landscape.

It's about how many historical sites are being turned into parking lots and shopping centers.
