Ive just come in from a very nice meal....

At the end of the meal hubby was using a toothpick,,,he was hiding this behind his hand so no one could see what he was doin,,,,he told me that in China,,,they do this and its considered very rude to not cover your mouth and to show people what your doing.......

Then he laughed and told me that although they think showin the toothpick is rude they spit on the floor or in buckets provided when they eat or drink no matter how posh the place is.....

What do u think is a really bad habbit that you cant stand ???

What do u think is a really bad habbit that you cant stand ???

-Smoking or use of narcotics
-Overeating
-Lack of hygiene
-Overuse of swearing
-Poor spelling and grammar

Basically, people with little respect for themselves and their well-being not so much bother me, but arouse concern.

Red, there is something about your posts, I read posts and it seems that I attracted to your queries more than others lately. Why is that, I wonder? Perhaps the good guestions, maybe the name, possibly the avatar (that damn Jessica Rabbit fetish again!) I was wondering, does the actual Red resemble her avatar? Ages ago I tried to post to the picture post, but I only had a bit-map image that would not work. I am now endevouring to get an image to post. Have you? Sorry to go off topic, thoughts were just off the top of my head.

To the question:

I absolutely cannot stand or fathom people who don't properly care for their children. I have seem so many that didn't what to buy their childs medication because they think it was too costly. Yet Mom and Dad had plenty of money for their cigarettes. If you want to mistreat yourself, that's your business. If you brought someone into this world only to complain about the cost of care and then skimp on said care of an innocent while you clearly fulfill your own indulgences, you need to be beaten. Sidenote: I work in a pharmacy part-time.

Men who don't trim their nasal hair.
People who don't throw out their kitchen trash until the can is filled to the brim for several days and the house starts to smell.
Also, if you know you have bad breath, you should try not to get right up to the face of the person you are speaking to to speak.
People who don't bath/clean their pet dog often and consequently allow their place to reek of dog odor.
Party hosts who serve shitty food.
Dirty bathroom always pisses me off.
I can't stand people who don't discipline their children, so that when you visit them or go out with them, their children/child cause immense inconvenience to everyone in the immediate surrounding. (destroy stuff, make excessive noise [especially where you are supposed to be quiet]...etc.)

I have absolutely no problem with foul language.

Red posted a picture in the "Who Are You?" thread on the first page.

I have yet to find anything that really bothers me.

You really don't have this Internet banter thing down, it seems. Oh well, everybody has their rough spots starting out in anything.

Good. The whole point is to have a good time. As long as you are doing that, it really doesn't matter how inane you are.

I thought your comment was funny, Drew. It got a chuckle out of me.

What's wrong with long nose hairs and ear hairs, Dio. At my age they are the most hair I have on my head. I am letting them grow so I can do a comb over.

Things that annoy me are parents who allow their children to run wild in public venues like supermarkets and stores.

On two seperate occasions I have refused to pay for a meal in a restaurant because the staff allowed children to run through the place annoying other diners. I have also approached people loudly using their cell phones and told them I was not interested in hearing their personal business while dining.

Yup. And sometimes they would refuse to get strict because they want to "be nice parents", they want to "not make my children dislike me". That's really annoying and selfish. I hate to hear "why don't you just let the kids have fun?" or "when you have kids around this sort of things just happen, you just got to be patient". Lame excuses.

Actually that's a bad habit of mine. I try not to pick my nose in front of people, usually resorting to turning my back, covering with hand, or simply going to the corner of the room or bathroom to do it. But in any case I pick my nose very frequently. I can't stand the feeling of having any booger clogged up in the nostrils. If the air is clean, probably once or twice a day would suffice. If the air is dirty or if I am sick, I would have to pick my nose as soon as some crap builds up.

I never eat the crap though. That'd be nasty. I just get rid of them.

I dislike people whom hork up a big gob and spit it out in public. I dislike people whom insert the f bomb in every sentence and sometimes multiple times per sentence. I dislike those whom throw their fast food garbage in the street, etc.

I dislike bad manners in general.
It's free--it costs nothing to say please, thank-you, or to hold the door open for a person, or "excuse me" when you bump into someone.

Mine too, and if somebody notices and points it out, I do it even more, just to gross them out. I'd much rather be looked at funny by pretentious twits than have dried up mucus in my nose that blowing won't get rid of.
