Raid the stores of now-discounted candy.
Happy easter.
My mom in law was hospitalized friday night and my hubby is gone to be with her. I have done an easter egg hunt here with the kids this morning. I'm going to take them to a friends house I haven't seen in a year, they throw an awesome egg hunt and set their entire house and yard up with games and refreshments for the kids, while the adults get to catch up.
No dinner planned, probly pick something up somewhere. Then raid the stores like Evakian.

Going to have dinner at the empty nest home of another old couple. We will be bring along a 10 year old grandson. His single mom works 3 and 4 day shifts of 12 hours and we get him while she is working. I think we have joint custody of the little eating machine.
One of the daughters wants everyone to come over to her home. We will have eats and the kids will hunt eggs. Ten acres there for the kids to roam.
I will eat too much, find a shade tree.

A blessed Easter to you, Sunshine.
Church in the morning. Helping my wife prepare Easter dinner for three of our four children, their spouses and three of our grandchildren. Hide eggs filled with money and chocolate in the yard for the grandkids to find. Overeat and then sit in my recliner and relax.
Hey Frogger,
Thanks for the blessings & such a great thread (everyone seems to be getting along) I hope you all had a fun time on Easter. My son is to old for egg hunts but we did the whole easter sha-bang when he was little on Saturday & this year we only took the Passover Communion as a family & read scripture.

Speaking of Passover, I often wonder why Christians don't celebrate Passover, Succoth, Purim and the rest of the Jewish holidays. If Christians are the heirs of the Jews shouldn't they still be celebrating the Jewish holidays?

Thats a .... Must... stop.. before getting carried away.
Jewish law is strictly with the Old Testament.
While Christian law is within the New Testament.
So traditions changed.

Early Christians had a debate over such things, such as whether or not Christians should have mandatory circumcision. Many of them still viewed themselves as Jews, but over time grew more and more a part as they spread through Europe instead of staying in the Holy Land, also because of the ecumenical councils that were held debating such (pretty-pointless-in-the-scheme-of-things) issues. The Catholic Church doesn't use such ancient Hebrew rituals because they don't find those to be part of what needs to be practiced out of theological reasons (OT versus NT), and the Orthodox and Protestant faiths have even fewer ties to such obligations. To put it simply, the reason they don't celebrate Jewish holidays is because they aren't Jewish, especially not many of the converts gathered from the far reaches of Europe.
Edit-Inv, you beat me! Curse you, may a thousand camels trample your car.
