This is a question that was once asked by a famous Psycho Analyst by the name of William Stecco:
Which is the Greater Man,
The man thats willing to give his life and Die for a Noble Cause,
or
The man thats willing to devote his life to Stand for one
Which is the Greater man... and why?
I would think devotion. To die is to end all chances to accomplish.
To live is have many opportunities to encourage change.

They are both one in the same. If you believe in a cause enough, you both live for it and die for it.

I was going to say they're both the same thing.

Well, if you have established your cause with others and you die for the cause, the cause still continues. If you alone stand for a cause it will die with you.
If you live with a cause that is established with others it is a powerful force. If you live alone, it dies when you die.
Who is the greater man? One can not be measured over the other. They are equally great.
