Squid is delicious. There is a delicate mix of tastes and textures that it really takes a proper sushi chef to create. Octopus are also pretty good, but eating them is like eating dog. Octopus are cute, intelligent animals, or so I've heard on the internet, and can make good pets if you can take care of them.

Calamari is defined as "squid prepared as food", so theretically when you say you love to eat calamari, you love to eat squid. Only different people have different ideas of what "preparation means". In Japan, fresh = good, so the best preparation would result in your food generally look alive.
The squid in the picture is a little different. It looks like a preserved squid. A squid jerky, if you will. It is flavorful but very tough to chew, hence the advertisement.
Calamari is squid ....?? ...Really ......??? Thanks Toni.......*L*.
I was referring to the individual in the poster .....when I said I don't know if I could eat it. I don't typically make my calamari out of re-constituted squid.

Better look out, you might give the PETA folks the fodder for their next comic book:
"Did you know your daddy is a murderer? He likes to eat cute, intelligent animals."
Based on that analogy, Cute & Intelligent, PETA members will never get eaten! HA. ;)

She might be cute if dressed as a human, but she still fails on the intelligence requirement.

I love squid, especially when included in a seafood fra diavalo. I still have some chocolate covered squid on a stick I brought back from a trip to Hawaii.
