The move to a new server has been completed.

Also - I upgraded vbulletin to the new all singing all dancing Version 3.5. It does nice things like lets you upload an avatar :) Plus many other new fangled cool stuff that Borg will explain to us all in time I am sure.

Looked all over for the place to upload an avatar, but I couldn't find it.

Yes avatars seem to be disabled from regular member accounts.....

Any chance of getting a Default VB3 skin on here?? (I love using that skin on VB3+)

Its looking good dudes!!!!!! God you did that quickly!!!!! Seemed like it only took a few hours to merge the DB,etc!!

I also notice that 'THREAD PREVIEW' is disabled :(

Avatars are enabled in the setup - I double checked.

I see it in UserCP / Edit Avatar

Are you sure you enabled them FOR OUR GROUP (Members) Your an admin,your in a DIFFERENT GROUP than us,just cause YOU SEE IT,doesnt mean anything :(

IF you goto it directly,it comes up but doesnt give you the option to change it (For members)

That goes to where the avatar settings are,BUT ITS NOT SHOWING ON THE MENU AS AN OPTION (Maybe you mis-configured the levels)

I haven't tried to change my avatar yet, but I did notice I'm not allowed to access the mod/admin quick links.

Ok - you should be able to upload avatars now

Still no Edit Avatar in User CP. The Dude's link isn't working either.

The link dude posted has allforums.net in it & the domain hasn't resolved yet - so such a page does not exist.

But, avatars are active for regular members - I checked by creating a testuser.

Go to userCP, 5th option in settings & options = Edit Avatar, then select Use custom avatar & upload it

My CP looks like this:

Edit Signature
Edit Email & Password
Edit Profile
Edit Options
Private Messages

you should have it now. You were in the gold member usergroup & i didn't adjust the settings for that group

The avatar option appears when your subscribed threads or private messages list is open, not plainly when you click on User CP. Try that sedan.

I have been unable to log in as Frogger. I am using either the wrong user name or the wrong password.

I am also having trouble with my email account so I don't know if I have been successful in attempts to reach the administrator to iron this out.

Where do you change the text directly underneath the avatar?

Click the edit button on the bottom right of the post you want to edit.

Is there perhaps a way in the forums to exclude certain forum groups from search results, particularly the New Posts button? Say, the categories: Advertise Your Site, Offers, Test Posts?

Oooo, that'd be sweet.

Not sure really. You can collapse down the different forum sections & it stays that way when you next visit. Click on the icon left on each forum section title bar

You can search individual threads by using the "search this thread" button at the top of each page of posts, or you can search the whole DB.

I haven't been on AllForums in like forever, so I don't remember what it really looked like. Anyway good job on the change as long as it was for the better.

This server is quite snappy - nice and fast.

I wonder if this server we moved to is in fact bad and thats why we have been having so many problems lately...

It isn't our responsibility to fix. It is the sysadmin's (Drew) problem, and he is aware of it.

I surely thought that the apocolypse was upon us when I couldnt get on to Allforums. I went to the store and bought up everything I could and hid in a bunker the whole time. I demand compensation!
