I am a long time player of Squaresoft's Final Fantasy series. I have recently been playing FFX. I really enjoy this this game. THe graphics are excellent and so is the games sound. The new battle system is really something else. No more ATB but the characters are assigned to when they are to attack and the player can see when each character involved in the battle. The new way of obtaining magic and stuff is totally different. You have to collect differnet types of spheres(power,magic,ability,etc.). Then you go to the Sphere grid and select a character to use a sphere on a selected spot on the grid. A little more comlpicated than collecting materia or junctioning stuff, but you get use to it. THe characters themselves are very unique and vivid. Unlike previous FF Lead characters, FFX's Tidus is very lively, optomistic, outgoing, friendly, and I could go on but I'm not. He's not your average Cloud or Squal to say the least. Tidus is A blitzball player from Zanrekend with a lost father by the name of Jecht who was the greatest BB player of all time in Zanerkand and who Tidus has much hate for. The leading lady in the FF is Yuna, a Summoner from Besaid in Spira whose father was a;so a great man in which he destroyed the evil Sin by was killed doing so. As for the other characters their great but I'm not going to talk about them. The story of the game is Tidus being transported to Spira and aiding the The Summoner Yuna on her pilgrimage so she can destroy Sin once again. The game is great and I think You should go get it if you ain't got it.

Sweet gord, you've traveled into the future and played FF XX? Please, tell us, is it just 14 discs of FMV?

One of the things that bothers me about the FF series is that it seems to have more and more FMV every installment. It's like Squaresoft is saying "OH DEAR! the player has been tapping keys for almost 10 minutes now! Time to give them a 2 hour movie!" Does X continue this trend, or what?
