I read the following in the FreePress.net web page, and I am still amazed at the things going on here where the goverment is suppose to be "of the people, by the people, and for the people", not anymore, and you know what? ... You voted for all the abuse that is going on today, it's just too late to bitch about it, you had your chance, but you re-elected the same monster. If you haven't heard the saying, "you get what you deserve", I'm sorry for you.

This article is about stopping the merger of AT&T with Bell South, here is what, don Quixote wants:

"You must stop the merger of AT&T and BellSouth. This deal would leave consumers with fewer choices, higher prices and less control over communications.

AT&T and BellSouth have a poor track record serving Americans. They have stifled competition, eliminating choices in the marketplace. They have not bridged the digital divide, leaving America far behind its global competitors. They have failed to protect network freedoms that keep the Internet an open road for all.

We cannot allow the future of communications to be controlled by companies that demonstrate little regard for the public interest.

As public representatives, you must stop this merger from going forward".

I have choices and I have chosen to give Bell and ATT the boot.

I used to have a great deal of devotion to Bell and AT&T because they paid me very well. But, after the break up ATT would offer me one thing on the phone but what I got was something very different so I never listen to ATT offers because I can't trust the word of their many salesmen.

Bell's first cell phone company screwed me so bad that I paid $250 to opt out and goto a Sprint cell phone.

I got Bell DSL and they kept screwing with my bill for 2 years so I told them goodbye and got cable and VOIP. $20 a month and I get all the bells and whistles and plus longdistance in the Usa, Canada and some island.
