Movies are meant to entertain us mostly. Sometimes they bring about strong emotions in the process of entertaining us. What movie have you guys and gals seen in your life that affected you emotionally? Be it anger, joy, sorrow, happiness.....etc..... One of the most emotional movies that i ever watched (and thoroughly enjoyed) was "What Dreams May Come" with Robin Williams. This movie made me run a whole gamut of emotions. Good stuff IMO.

I cannot even watch the opening credits of "Born Free" without getting teary eyed. I actually sobbed out loud during many parts of that movie. The fact that it was based on a true story made it even more touching. I also cried and felt angry watching the mini-series "Roots". I am embarrassed to say I also cried watching "Armageddon".

Ah, the biggest one for me is "Dances with Wolves." I think I've rewatched this movie over 10 times now, and I STILL get emotional when I see it.
"The Fox and the Hound" is a big one too.

Yes, Fox and the Hound is a cartoon! Does that not mean I can't get emotional about it?!?!? *gets extraordinarily defensive*
Good call on Cast Away, mad dog. I was really surprised with that movie. Alas, poor Wilson....
I saw it as a rental, and I expected it to be pretty good from reviews I'd heard/read, but I was shocked to discover that was my first or second favorite film from that year (Wasn't You Can Count on Me from that year too....I really liked that one a lot.)

"Old Yeller"...ahh yes...the mid 50s Disney comedy. Ranks right up there with "Bambi"
"The Deer Hunter" is a very powerful movie, and will certainly take you on an emotional carpet ride.

Eh, "Old Yeller" never really got me...the kid always got on my nerves. I was more of a sucker for "The Yearling."

Mad Dog, it was the first "Land before time" that made me cry, never saw the other ones. Old Yeller made me cry...I am a sucker for animals. It doesnt take much to make me cry. I've gotten teary eyed playing video games for Pete's sake! Geez...I am pathetic.
