you cant support the troops and not support the commander in chief, it is impossible. The CIC is part of the military. I hated Clinton, but I was in the Army during his regime, and I supported his military moves, even when it sent me to stupid crap holes like Port au Prince, or kept me in Somalia. Supporting the troops and not the CIC is like supporting catholisism but not supporting the pope.

In the months following 9/11, I attempted to return to active duty. The recruiting command studied my request, my years of service, physical condition and such, the final answer, however, was "NO". Seems I've just gotten to old. Time flies when you're having fun.
Something I do know, -- if they eventually do ask me to return, most of y'all Americans will already be in uniform and serving their country in one aspect or another. Now that could be the uniform of a soldier, a forest ranger, or that of a federal prisoner. Seems the choice would be yours to make.

It would be hilarious to see these liberal peace activists in uniform mopeing about as they are told to get ready to go to Iraq and into the meat grinder of baghdad, I bet the religion hating athiest would quickly become god fearing conscienceious objectors. I dont think they realize a draft could happen very quickly, for its not just a large number of dead that depletes the military, its the wounded.

Exactly. One dead soldier is just that: dead. A single wounded soldier takes 2-3 more out of battle caring for him. A reinstatement of the draft would not take very long. The first draftees could be on the front lines within 6 months of being inducted.
