The day before yesterday, my husband was alerted to an article at the Washington Post an hour after Congressman Bart Stupak had sent his letter to Rumsfeld. He went to check it out and at first, the headline for this story was "Aide: Reagan Left Marines Prone in 1983". He decided to send the Post an email alerting them to who he was and what was going on with the petition. Within 20 minutes of emailing them, the headline of the story was changed to "Aide: Reagan Warned Before Beirut Blast".

Now we understand that sometimes they just decide that the healine of a story is not good enough, but this was just odd timing. We firmly believe that Washington is now positioning themselves for the media releases around the world.

Also notice how they had changed the headline so fast that they spelled "Beirut" wrong.

Here's a link to the article.

I hope this turns into an investigation of some sort. It's so hard 20 years later to get something like that going. But even this article is a vindication of sorts.
