To remind the older members that it's not our job to protect stray children who wander onto our site. It's a largely political forum here, and those topics are for those mature enough to understand such things, which by definition includes those mature enough to talk about sex. Children who do not have the mental capacity to think about political issues intelligently or patience to wade through the political topics will quickly become bored here. In that sense, we're self-moderating. And if parents don't want their kids to hear stuff about sex, they should not let them on the Internet in the first place.
