I'll go first:

Japan - techies, tiresome indirectness (social interaction), samurai, perverted porn where genital shots are censored, graphic novels, raw fish, atomic bomb(-ed)

China - bad aesthetic taste, great wall, injustice galore (the government to its people), incredible athletes, dangerous drivers

S Korea - kimchie, Magna Carta (video game), rich immigrants (to America) and their hot daughters

Taiwan - gourmet heaven, impressive % by student nationality at American ivy league schools (for its small size), sexually frustrated women (according to FHM)

Hong Kong - one of world's best night view skyline, bad attitude of waitress, celebrity culture, movies, gansters everywhere, penchant to preserve ritual/superstition

Vietnam - pho, nail salons (in America), small boned people, distinctive accent

Gangsters everywhere in Hong Kong?

I'm curious--do they have that distinctive gangster look, like they do in Chicago? (Pin-striped suits, diamond pinkie ring, slicked-back hair, big black limo).

How can you tell they are gangsters?

Japan........Sorry,,,,,,,,,but i think of Kenko,,,,,i think of prisoner of war camps.

China......I think of hubby now,,,,,,,,cus he practically lives there,,,,,,i also think of wok's and fried rice and paddy fields Guiesha (?) girls in silk kamonos (?)..

Japan- sushi, samurai, crowded streets, anime, strong work ethic

China- Peking duck, Buddhists, the Great Wall, calligraphy, productive

North Korea- kimchi, communists, bad infrastructure, intrusive government, poverty

South Korea- green tea, fishermen, cyber cafes, soap operas, longing

Taiwan- (no food), democracy advocates, assembly lines, free state, rebellion

Hong Kong- (no food), capitalists, street shops!, British influence, freedom

Vietnam- dog :D, communists, coastline, war torn, bright future
