View Full Version : Crystal Hot Sauce
Apparantly there is not going to be anymore due to the Hurricane in New Orleans. Plant closed. A letter from the distributer, that I received, said they will probably not reopen.
If you like it you should try to find some now, it is already scarce.
I managed to get a case of four gallons. I could not order any of the small bottles. They were already gone.

I generally make my own hot sauce. I don't put any habaneros in it or anything like 'em though cause I don't like mine too hot.

I prefer my hot sauce to have more than just hotness. I like a little flavor besides. I like the taste of the mango or banana flavored hot sauces. Cheech Marin has a pretty good one.
I used to grow my own habeneros but it just isn't worth the space they take when I can buy them so cheaply.
hot sauce? the hottest sauce i eat is the mild taco bell junk! ya.. i'm a wimp when it comes to hot things...

Hehe. I looked in the fridge tonight to find the best name for hotsauce ever. "Ass In Space"
Kinda self explanitory.
I, also, like a mild sauce with flavor. I like to be able to taste the food.
and i would also enjoy keeping the taste buds attached 2 my tounge. if i wanted to singe them off i would suck on a blow torch.
Heard today that .....Crystal Hot Sauce Company (or whoever it is that makes the stuff) ..........has moved to Metairie ......and .......are going to open a new production line.
The folks who told me this news ..........are moving to Indonesia .......and ....they are bringing three gallons of the stuff with them ......*L*.
