It is a picture of a fairly young Temujin and the beard and mustache look fine.

The picture is highly stylized in order to make him seem more European, sort of Romanian. The picture actually reminds me of Vlad Tepes. In real life, being a Kiyad nomad he would have had much rounder features and more slanted eyes. His beard and mustache would also have been much wispier.

This is a picture of what he probably actually looked like.

I don't trust anybody who .....wears a feather in their hat.

Jeb Stuart wore a feather in his hat!
So did the Marquis de Lafayette.
They were fashionable dudes back in the day.

If I do not know who this is, just looking at the picture, I'd have to say I'm looking at a very easily forgettable portrait. The man in the portrait looks like some average soldier/nobility from sometime between year 500~1500, from some place in Eurasia. Nothing whatsoever stands out. The helmet, the feather, the mustache, all look fairly appropriate and mundane. Nothing stands out.

I'll bet Jeb Stuart ....and ...Marquis de la Fayette ...were a couple of real dandy's ......*W*.

I'm not guessing. I know it is a stylized portrait of Ghengis Khan and not a very good one at that.

I swear he looks like Vlad the impaler......

Anyway......I personally love the feathers, but he is scary and repulsive looking. I am partial to men who wear feathers in their hair...(red ones that is)

I agree. If you look at my previous post, I said the exact same thing. Vlad Tepes = Vlad Drakul = Vlad the Impaler

But that argument could be applied to anyone.

Not anyone.

I would have commented on Angelina Jolie's lips without knowing who she is. Or Woody Allan's darn glasses. Tom Sawyer has that I-need-a-good-spanking look. And Final Fantasy characters are instantly recognizable as being from the game series, even if you don't know who they actually are.

But for this portrait only mundane descriptions can I find.

Now you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest... with... a herring!

I fart in your general direction, your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!

Run away! ::flees::

Does he look romantic by any chance?

Important Note: Please, analyse the picture as you see it and do not put in your mind who he really is.

How can we not say the word if you don't tell us what it is?

So you don't want to be the straight man? Perhaps you should begin wearing rainbow colored t-shirts, watching HGTV, and manscaping.
