I was trying to think what I would consider my "top 5" scariest movies. I don't like all the "slash and kill"(Friday the 13th) movies..they are too predictable, I like eeriness and suspense, the kind of movies that make you want to check under the bed....here is my top 5
1)House on Haunted Hill (original black and white version)
2)Nightmare on Elm Street (only the 1st one, the rest were stupid)
3)Phantasm (1st one only)
4)Halloween (again, 1st one only)
5)Prince of Darkness (It was just creepy!)

Interesting selection.....I haven't seen 1, 3, and 5 myself. Here's my freaky flicks:

1) Alien
2) Rosemary's Baby
3) Jaws
4) Cape Fear (The Nick Nolte one)
5) Nightmare on Elm Street

I'd like to give an honorable mention to "The Twilight Zone," particularly the segment starring John Lithgow as the freaked out plane passenger.
