I take this to be more or less a joke? Or are you being sarcastic? Either way I would recommend you giving your soul to the person that created it.
God.
You say you do not need it or not using t then give it to someone that wants you to walk with him after you leave this life.:agree:

I'm half Indian I was never making fun of anyone who is I was just using Indian giver as a joke because that phrase is commonly used when someone gives you somthing and then takes it back I don't think it ever been used to discriminate against anyone who is indian

Nah, I'm pretty happy with the soul God has given me already. Besides you can't sell something that's already priceless! I think you should just keep your soul and come up with another way to make more than 1¢. :)

^_^ ok Youth.
Yeah....I like my soul pretty much too..
Hi, I'm also willing to sell my soul. Anyone interested? I'll offer a good price: Let's say 1000€.
But the problem will be, as the guy trying to sell his soul via eBay some months ago has already experienced, how to deliver the ware... Any suggestions?
PS: I'm not joking. I'm an atheist and I don't believe that I have a soul, but some people insist in telling me that I indeed have one. So I could sell it, or not? :)

Well considering I only have 2¢ to my name and really don't care to buy anyone else's soul, I guess your out of luck. That's the bad news. The good news is you definatly have a soul, even though you don't beleive you have one. As far as delivery, well that would be tough.. You would have to die a physical death. I would doubt that you would be willing to give up your body just to make a delivery, so that is out. I'd tell you just to keep your soul, but heck.. You are what you are. If you want to give yourself away, I guess that's your decision. Personally I think selling your sould for 1000€ is a bit low.. Not all the money in the world can buy your soul. It's either given or it's taken, but it's worth more than you'll ever know. (And yes I know you were just joking)

Hmmm.. Yes and no. If someone really wanted to buy my soul and the only condition was to sign a treaty (and not to die) then I would not say NO! Again: I don't believe in god and I don't believe in a soul, so I don't need it, no matter what you or anybody else says. :)
Okay, bedtime now.

If you don't beleive you have a soul, then why offer to sell what you don't beleive what you have. For me, I can't compehend anyone not aknowledging their own soul.. But then again I see life in a whole different way than most do.

Well if you acknoldge to sell it you acknoledge you have one...so there for you're talk out of both sides of your mouth :)

If I have a book full of stories, which are said to be the words of God, but I do not believe in it, can I then sell the book? Yes.
If I have a strange ring and some weirdos believe that it has some magical power, but I do not believe it, can I then sell the ring? Yes.
If I pick a simple stone from the ground and tell someone that it chases away lions ("It works! Do you see any lions?") and he believes it, can I then sell it? Unfair, but yes.
If some people tell me that I own a mystical, invisible, non-material thing called "soul", but I do not believe in it, can I nevertheless sell "my soul"? Yes or no?
Well, of course, the whole discussion is rather ridiculous, but it would be really nice to find someone, who is willing to buy "my soul". I mean, I do not do anything, but I earn a lot of money. Cool, eh? :lucky:

The items that you mention you can sell are tangible in this physical world. Your soul is not tangible in the physical world, but it is very much a part of you.. In fact it is you. So if you really do try to sell your soul (which I do take seriously) you would be selling everything that you are.. Wether you beleive in life after death is not the relavent argument here.. The argument is if you sell your soul, after death you will become enslaved for enternity to whoever you sold your sole too. I'm not going to get into a "i'm right and your wrong" argument here. But even for something you don't beleive in, don't you think that is a huge price to pay if your wrong?

The items themselves are part of the physical world, but the ring and the stone are not the very things I would sell, they are only the medium. If I found a medium (besides a human body) capable of transfering a soul then the deal could work, or not?

Oh, the belief in life after death is indeed the very relevant argument here.

I am ready to take that risk. =p
When I die, my body will decay and so will my "soul", because my consciousness is not more than a very komplex neuro-chemical reaction of my brain. IMO.
BTW, I am also not going into an "I'm right..." argument. I have participated in too many discussions of that kind in other forums and it never lead to any result; once we have even discussed evolution vs. creationism for more than one month, the thread consisted of about 15 pages and more words (and information) than some school books dealing with this topic do. No, I do never want to repeat something like this...
I do not believe in God, you do, and that's it. Trying to convince the other is a) mostly unsuccesfull and wasted time and b) not the gentleman's way: We live in a time of tolerance and not of crusades, right?

Actually Neg, I would feel like less of a gentlemen if I didn't try to warn you of the implications of you trying to sell your soul. Wether you beleive you have one or not is up to you. I can not make you beleive you have a soul.
However here's something to think about. You are willing to sell your soul although you beleive you don't have one. Because you don't beleive you have one, you don't beleive you have anything to worry about because when you die, that's it.. Your not going to heaven or hell either way. Have you ever thought about "what if?" Like "what if" when you die your soul does not cease to exist. What if you live on as a spirit? Once you have sold your soul, you had already made the pact to become the buyers slave for eternity. That is not something to take lightly.
In this physical world that you know you exist beyond a reason of a doubt, would you sell yourself to slavery until the day you die? I doubt it. So have you thought about when you die "what if" you still live in spirit, then you must deliver yourself to slavery for eternity.
Sure you may beleive you have no soul and all you are is a bunch of chemicly driven neurons.. Well that's your choice to beleive that and no one can change that fact that you beleive that any more than anyone can change the fact that I beleive in the supernatural and in God as a higher power. If you want to put price on your own soul, then so be it.. On the flip side I beleive we are way more than just a conscienceness of chemically driven neurons... I beleive every soul is priceless.. I beleive trying to sell (even something you don't beleive in) is only degrading yourself. You've made that decision. Aparently you must feel worthless inside to feel that you must sell your soul. (Or lack of one.) I'm sorry man, but I can't help but feel pitty for you that you must feel worthless. It must be a horrible feeling.

Don't get me wrong, you can joke about anything. I just don't think selling your soul is very funny at all.. I think that's a very seriouse issue, even if you are just joking. Of course you may beleive what you may, you have that right of course.

I did it because it was supposed to origanally appear in the section where stuff was supposed to be sold but no one was posting so I just thought of an idea to make a joke and say I was selling my soul and if people still do I want takers I need money!!!

Oh, please, don't play the missionary's card. You won't achieve anything!
I promiss you that I do not feel worthless.

I could say the same thing. I feel pitty for you, because you are so naiv, ignorant and narrow-minded. I must stress that this is only my point of view, but in my opinion religion (of any kind) is some kind of backward. If you now feel attacked then remind yourself that blaming me for feeling worthless is not very nice either..
