It was incredible!!!
Has anyone else seen it or plan to see it?

Saw it when it first came out and just loved it. My favorite song is, Light My Candle.

If you liked Rent you would probably love Les Miz.

Living close to NYC I get to see quite a few Broadway plays. That is one of the big perks about living where I do.

Have I seen it yet? No.
Do I plan to? Soon enough. I will return with more comments at that time.

And Frogger, Rent was recently released in theaters in movie format...featuring most of the original broadway cast. As this is the movies & TV shows forums, this thread is in reference to the newly released film. :)

Ok, seriously...
The singing was incredible, mostly because most of the cast came directly from the broadway version. AND because Idina Menzel(who was Elphaba in the original broadway production of Wicked) was in it, her voice is amazing.

Bear in mind that it is a musical and 90% is sung. In the stage version all of it is sung so you people who don't fancy musicals got off easy.

And it is rated PG-13 for a reason, it should really not be shown to those under 18 if you want your child to grow up with no knowledge of drugs, the bohemian spirit, AIDS, and gay people.

It will also make you cry like a baby so have tissues ready!
