I asked this question in other forums, in one of them Pearl Jam swept the floor, in the other Nirvana won by 2 votes. What do you guys think? I personally find more talent within Pearl Jam...if Nirvana would of had a different attitude, maybe I would have became a bigger fan for their music...but they didn't care much...and I hated that.

Also, Nirvana could never hit (or at least they never proved they could) the licks Pearl Jam had in their music. I prefer Pearl Jam's sound over Nirvana's.

I don't dislike Nirvana, I just simply like Pearl Jam more... I mean...everyone is entitled to their own opinion...what's yours?

though i enjoy pearl jam, they have just gone so downhill recently while imo nirvana was solid throught their career. so, nirvana. besides, kurt cobain is a god:D

I never understood this Kurt Cobain is a god stuff. He writes non-sensical lyrics that he basically just mumbles into the microphone. Then he commits suicide and he's branded the musical genius that spoke for my generation. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Nirvana (I have a couple of their CDs), but I just don't see the genius in their music. Pearl Jam started off big but the recent stuff I've heard from them hasn't done a lot for me. I guess I burned out on grunge pretty quickly.
