Am I the only one who thinks this case is odd?

In other words, that hubby may have had something to do with this--like hire it done?

Forgive my suspicious mind, and if I'm wrong I'll be the first to admit it it...but, his overblown display of grief, his statement of how he cradled his wife's battered head in his arms after telling her she was " beautiful"(wouldn't most people scream in terror and then run from such a sight? And how is a battered body sustaining blunt force trauma to the head beautiful?) .....and his other statements about her lack of much life insurance has alarm bells going off in my head.

He also seems to want his hapless neighbor executed immediately. Nothing like a convenient suspect!

I do not know these people (most obvious) and have not followed the story too well, nor researched the people and events involved. But i am going to do the right thing and keep to innocent until proven guilty, i am not going to assume he would have killed his wife.

He also seems to want his hapless neighbor executed immediately. Nothing like a convenient suspect!

The neighbors are always the first in question with domestic homicides like this.

Forgive my suspicious mind, and if I'm wrong I'll be the first to admit it it...but, his overblown display of grief

Not to be rude, but i do believe when your wife dies there is something to be emotional about.

his statement of how he cradled his wife's battered head in his arms after telling her she was " beautiful"

See the third quote in my signature.

Love makes people do strange things, and that is a great show of caring and commitment.

(wouldn't most people scream in terror and then run from such a sight?

Not if it was your wife...there would be other displays of fear and anger, not to mention love.

And how is a battered body sustaining blunt force trauma to the head beautiful?)

Despite a beaten and mangled corpse, this is the last few moments of her life....

in that brief period of her passing, i will propose that she was more beautiful to him at that time then any other time he had ever spent with her.

A. Well, no, the immediate family always ranks first as suspects.
b. Maybe because he did it?
This case STINKS.

A. Well, no, the immediate family always ranks first as suspects.

Not when no one else is home..................

b. Maybe because he did it?

Who are you to accuse him and make such conclusions? He is innocent until we discover proof that he did it.

Nothing like a convenient suspect!

Vitale Suspect (http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/10/21/vitale.suspect/index.html)

Taken from the article:

The teenage suspect in the beating death of a prominent lawyer's wife was described by classmates as a goth loner who followed the occult and dressed in black from the polish on his fingernails to his trench coat.

A Gothic cross was carved into her back. That symbol may be a key link to the suspect.

Former classmates told The Associated Press that the teenager drew a pentagram on the ground at school, telling other students he was reading from the book of Satan.

The San Francisco Chronicle, citing an unidentified law enforcement source, reported that investigators believe the killing was related to a scheme that involved using stolen credit card numbers to fund a marijuana-growing operation.

The Chronicle's source said the boy had ordered equipment for the operation and mistakenly thought the supplies were delivered to Horowitz and Vitale's home, the newspaper reported on its Web site.

The teen went there Saturday looking for the equipment and got in a fight with Vitale, striking her dozens of times in the head with a piece of molding that was left behind at the scene, according to the Chronicle's source.

Despite a possibility of fabrication (such as the symbol carved by Horowitz in order to place blame on the young man), this suspect is hardly what i consider "convienient", and there is much investigating to be done.

Forgive me if i am wrong, but i do believe that there is a great deal of prejudice involved in your judgment.

As I stated previously, this is speculation on my part.....
who am I to "accuse" him? This dude has acted oddly since the get-go, IMO-------

They lived in a trailer for FIFTEEN YEARS, unable to finance a home until recently and then only after borrowing $300,000 from a neighbor. The couple had 2 Alsatian guard dogs--where were they? Why was the security gate keypad code taped to the gate?
Also, just hours after the the slaying, the grieving hubby let a tv crew through the crime scene--thus hopelessly contaminating it.

Little pebbles adding up to a big rock pile.

Now there is a goth suspect in custody, as I have read and kept up with.

As Horowitz, high profile defense attorney in the middle of a sensational trial which has since been declared a mistrial (another pebble) is presumed innocent until found guilty, so this goth young man should be.

If the young man confesses or is found guilty, this will settle it for me. Until then, Horowitz, IMO, bears striking resemblance to Sam Sheppard in my mind.
