Well I'll tell ya what.....I've done been through some Hell over that damn hurricane! I've packed everything, drove forever, stayed in a church shelter for 2 weeks, then paid out the butt for a room at a small marina, waited forever to hear from FEMA and the Red Cross...came home....The whole veteran's park was messed up! Our jet plane is on the ground of course. Stayed here in the humidity and west nile virus-laden mosquitos with no power for a while. Just got power 2 days ago. I'm in Port Arthur, but let me tell ya, Bridge City is messed up BAD too. I've really went through some stuff man. This experience has really changed me. I don't look at life the same anymore. I guess a little suffering, extreme worry, and enduring 120 mi. winds in a church can make ya think. I guess I'm just bringing this all up so I can get it off my chest. I hope ya'll don't mind. It was just HARD. I felt all alone in the country and like no one gave a damn. It's hard being poor and running from a hurricane, I know that. If there's any other survivors of Hurricane Rita or Katrina on here, then I just want to say that I know how it feels and I'm praying for you. Ya'll take care and wish me luck. Sincerely, D'net

Sorry you and so many, had to and still are, enduring so much, Apple.
I have been through a few hurricaines, but not under those circumstances.

It will take a lot of time to get back to a "normal" life I am sure.

One day you will be telling the grandchildren about the great Hurricaine of 05'.
