Money - people wanted to watch to see what would happen. Of course all they were treated to was some crap about how she wrote a sad song after the last appearance.

Mad TV is about the same to me. We TiVo both of them too and fast forward through about 75% of both shows. When they're good, they're hilarious, which is why we go through the trouble, but still a good portion of both shows are unwatchable.

Saturday night live is great. The season opener with Steve Carrel was one of the best show in years.

And Tina Fey is hot.

SNL is a classic, how the hell do you not like it.

SNL was good about fifteen to twenty years ago. These days, it's utter shite.

SNL is still great. Sure - they dont have Steve Martins or Chevy Chases - or even Will Ferrel anymore --but it is still a great show.

Here's my take:

1. The last TRULY funny guy on SNL was Chris Farley.
2. Yes, Tina Fey is uber hot.
3. The entire and current cast of the show is not funny.
4. Mad TV sucks.

Jimmy Fallon was really funny.

I don't think I have ever laughed harder than than I did when I was watching a Mad TV marathon.

Since I don't watch much TV, I was surprised that I actually got most of the references.

SNL is too political and boring. I hate our president as much as the next liberal, (or intelligent conservative) but honestly, the Bush bashing gets really old when you dedicate a quarter of the show to it.

A quarter of the show? They only do a presidential skit typically to open it.

I would have to say Mad TV has owned SNL for its duration... I have always liked Mad TV skits better, BUT some of there stuff is stupid.. like the Chinese lady who can't comprehend ANYTHING.... she annoys me and makes me change the channel... but Will Sasso, Phil Lamar, Micheal McDonald, and Pat Kilbane are probably 4 of the funniest men alive.... oh and Nicole Sullivan is pretty hot too;)

I have to agree with BorgHunter. SNL used to be funny but no longer is. It has gone from being funny to being sophomoric.

OMG!! That's the best part! Even the people I know that don't like the rest of Mad TV love those skits. And I think she's Korean.

I agree its not as great as the late 80's early 90's, but its still a hell of a lot better than mad TV. They're some funny people on the current cast, fred armesan is my favorite, horatio sanz is pretty funny, maya and amy poehler are pretty fnny too
