It seems the recording industry is very very close to pulling the trigger with the gun in their mouth.

ARE THEY MAD?! Do they LIKE being broke? The IPod and ITunes fucking saved their god damned industry, and they want MORE?! These people are some of the most dispicable and disgusting human beings. Their greed is just... sick. You'd think they'd have figured out that they're asses and if they keep it up they wont have jobs. There are little charts and graphs for them too see that trend, but apparently they're half blind, half liars who sold themselves to the devil. Which brings me to my next topic here, Canada is fighting back. The United States law field and governing branches have been bending over and letting the RI slap their asses. However, in Canada, law professors are arguing the point:

What's this? What the RI has been doing breaks freedom of expression? The copyright laws they've been pushing will hamper creativity and innovation? What a concept! There are a lot of reasons as to why the overall quality of music has been degrading. Personally, I believe one of them is the RI. You sign away almost all rights to what you created and they take more than half of the money. All in the name of making it big. Suck them dry, suck them dead. In the first year, most bands, even(or really especially) outrageously popular bands end up thousands upon thousands of dollars... in the hole. This is with putting out a CD and touring the entire year. Very slowly does the money actually begin to trickle in, and for the most part what they end up spending is off of the recording company's credit. You don't see many signed bands anymore, mostly fabricated bands. Anyways, I've drifted from my point. The RI has no moral values and cares not for the things that keep them afloat.
