its disgraceful that people who watched what happened during Katrina would still be sitting on their asses waiting for the government to bail them out. the biggest thing I have noticved during all of this is that self reliance and personal accountability are things of the past. everyone thinks big brother is gong to take care of them, what idiots. go out and buy some damn supplies and be prepared. uncle Sam us buried beneath a mountain of red tape and will not be there for you, no matter what letter is next to the guys name in the oval office.

fine, you sit around waitng for help, I will have food, water and self protection on hand. while you sit around crying about what should have happened I will be making sure my family has what it needs to survive.

No, I realize that nothing good will ever come from a government like this - leat of all timely assistance for those in a crisis. But the fact is, many people don't have resources that you have, such as reliable transportation or extra spending money. I have a few friends stuck down there now, the conditions are terrible.

extra money? how about put down the 40's for a few days and go buy a 5 gallon water bottle and a few cans of raviolis? put them in the closet and forget about them. dont give me this victim bullshit. every american has the ability to do a little planning. take 20 dollars and buy some damn supplies. It wont be comfortable but it will keep you alive until the held does show up.
