Bush Tells America not worry about the High ALert Issued by the Department of HOmeland Security. Wasn't that the point of the whole color scheme. How are you going to tell people "Uh yeah we are on high alert for terrorist attacks anywhere from chemical, biological, or dirty bomb attacks but don't worry about." Homeland Security is a good idea I guess. I thought that that was the point with the NSA, FBI, CIA, and the other dozen agancies that are givin oodles of cash to ensure safety. It costs billions of dollars to combine these agancies in the act of creating Homeland Security. Was it that difficult to do this before? What is this something new to think about? I can't understand how this is the great idea. It was said that Homeland Security would remove all the redtape between agencies. They couldn't do this without spending billions of dollars? After all the money spent all we got was tired answer to the threat of these terrorist attacks. Get some plastic and duck tape. I'll be sure to do that and remember to duck and cover when that dirty nuclear bomb goes off in your home town.

All of this is new to everyone. The multiple agencies now grouped under Homeland Security did not network with one another, as each viewed itself as an empire unto its' own domain. We're seeing growing pains as the deck is continually reshuffled, and team building. It's not been quite 2 years since 9/11, I'd like to think that they are becoming a more cohesive entity. Given the challenge of contending with the terrorist threats coming from all over the planet, they must blend each empires language and policies together..somehow. A daunting task.

All that is granteed. Point being where is an awnser to the incredible amounts of money that brought us nothing more than an alert system that we are not supposed to worry about ?

Heh, how soon people forget. Don't you remember the outrage just after 9/11, when people heard that the FBI and CIA had detected a lot of terrorist communication/traffic just before the high jackings? Many complained because they were not warned, and I guess enough felt the need for warnings and such, so the Dept. of Homeland Security was created.

Maybe now people will understand exactly how often there are warnings and terrorist threats are going on nearly all the time.

And the day that that security agency doesn't work do we erect the a new and improved plan? Do we erect a new agency that combines all other existing security agencies to better work together with the new agancy? About how many billion dollars do we have to spend to gret it right an how many times do we need do it? How soon people do forget in history. And they will keeep forgeting I understand that Karan but that id bel.ow the point. It is not a valid response and I hope you can make a better argument. Honestly I think you would support me than disagree with me truthfuly. You are better off funding a Super hero with that much money. Maybe a few forces thst could really work. Less numbers less money just secret base underground. Like the JLA that makes as much sense as all the bull thats been stinking up the media and my brain. I can't ake the bullshit nomore. Hopefully the stench will reach yopur homes before its too late.
