The County Board of McLennan Country has been asked to extend an ordinance that does not allow parking a few hundred feet from President Bush’s ranch.
It’s clear to everyone that he is not officially on ‘vacation’ and is, indeed, carrying on business and government activity at the ranch. He has been leaving the ranch to attend political fundraisers, has had his working assistants visit him and has even, apparently went for a walk holding hands with the King of Saudi Arabia.
Please consider that he should be in Washington DC doing his job and that your ordinance would be a waste of the time and money of McLennan County.
Perhaps prior to extending the ordinance and making more laws for yourself you might ask the President why he is running the government from his ranch in Crawford rather than from the lawfully designated area located at Washington in the District of Columbia.
The McLennan County Commissioners will be doing themselves, McLennan County, the State of Texas and the United States of America a disservice by making laws as a result of whim and mob rule.
Several people have asked that he return to Washington in the District of Columbia to carry out his duties but he has apparently either been afraid or unwilling to go stay there.
It is the right and duty of all American citizens to be involved in their government and when the President decides to hide someone should ask him to knock it off.

why does everyone say he's "hiding"???

he's doing his job, he's been plenty active lately.....

So ANY old idiot who disagrees with him and decides to sit out in front of his house- he has to go and give this guy his time????

what if Sheehan decides to hurt the president?

she IS a crazy nut.

I just think there are better ways for the president to use his time than to answer some hardcore liberal who is only trying to latch onto Bush to try to get her name and views in the paper....

What if you decide to hurt the president? He's not leading. He's not a good president. He's just a president and people are dying because of it.

I find it funny how they cradle cindy as their baby, talking about her any which way they can, monitoring her every protesting move.

But when people show up in Crawford to protest HER there is an uproar being called censorship and should not be allowed.

Whoa! So the day Bush hopped into office people started dying of some strange plague???

They are not dying because he is in office, they are dying because loyalists to a brutal dictator/international terrorists/locals swept up in the heat of it are fighting against the troops and the are dying in combat.

Americans are dying in Iraq as a direct result of the mistaken actions of President George Bush.

People have died because of the actions of many presidents. In almost ALL of those situations, there were some who thought those actions were "mistaken" This time it's you.

So by that logic, Roosevelt, Kennedy, Johnson, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Clinton, Bush Sr., Teddy Roosevelt, Truman, Wilson, Lincoln, Adams, Jackson (and others) brought the death of our soldiers by the "mistaken actions" of the president.

There is no comparison between World War II and the occupation of Iraq. Try another lie. You're getting old.

?!?!!?......**mistaken actions** is far too kind a characterization.

They were outright, calculated fucking LIES on BushCo's part........and now, after having been exposed for the absurdities they were, the whole world KNOWS Bush is a liar.

Thanks Cranston, that made me laugh at your ignorance and the lack of validity to my comment as a whole. Keep up the good work, you're lengthening my life

IF --as is the case with Iraq, and as was the case with countless other foreign military actions this country has undertaken, where US soldiers are sent to protect the monied interests of US Corporations-- I would say that statement is exactly correct.

well... you'd probably make a lot less enemies FT if you made it known that you've hated america all along instead of just ripping into the current administration while using funky resources like it was your job....

You need a bigger cartoon.

Your cartoon is very small.

When I tell the truth about America and what its leaders have perpetrated, you call it "hating America".

Those resources that provide factual info are, in your estimation, "funky".

Many in America are willfully blind .........but you take it to the extreme.
